Who watches this show? I think that Christina, Tamyra, or Kelly should win. I really do not like Justin. He's a big pain. Vote him off!

My coworker got me started. If I miss even 1 episode now I will have to face her the next day at work :lol:

I think that Kelly should win. So does fanofdinsey1981! We think she has the most talent out of everyone. Justin is just really cute, but not as good as the girls that are left in the competition. We also like Tamyra and Christina, but we think Kelly is the best out of all of them!!!!

Yes, we are all big dorks for watching it. :lol:

At this point, I think everyone left is very talented and I'll be happy with any of them winning. Although I DO agree with Simon (sorry) that RJ sounds kinda boy-band. And that's fine, but the last boy-band music I bought was NKOTB-- on cassette!

Remember that 12-16 year old girls run the music business, so we won't see kelly finish. She has the most talent, by far, of the group, but won't win because she doesn't appease the teeny-boppers.

Sad....I know......I'm thinking about not watching anymore so I don't get disappointed.

I MOSTLY agree with you...I do have a little bit of hope left since they at least kicked AJ off (Sorry, AJ).

Actually, I grew up in a VERY musical family, and I'm well schooled in music theory/performance, etc.....so it's fun to watch them...I can catch little things that go wrong.

There actually is a lot of talent on the show....they're singing fun songs from great eras.

That is so true. I love to hear people sing, famous or not, as long as they can carry a tune! And I LOVE the fact that they have made "theme nights" --Motown, 70s, etc-- I think it makes the show so much more fun to watch. I wonder what tomorrow's theme will be!

And who will get kicked off...sigh. It's so sad to see these kids get "booted" on national tv. If that were me I'd be crying all over the place.

We have two shows running now (on different tv stations) similar to that. One is called "The Academy" and they have "galas" every sunday night. Last sunday many of them sucked at the end of their songs... they got out of tune... it got to a point that I switched channels and this other "reality show" was having its premiere... this one is called "Operación Triunfo" or "Operation Success" in English... It´s the same show that Endemol (Big Brother) did in Spain and in which a fat girl with a beautiful voice won. These kids sang better than the other ones and they haven´t got into the "school" yet!

My dissapointment is that no matter how good they are and what the judges and teachers tell them, it is the audience who decides who stays and who leaves. Sometimes the most talented are kicked out because they were not that popular...

I don´t call... it costs $2usd, and you can win a car or money, but I still don´t do it. :animwink: I only called twice when my friend from Disney was competing in Big Brother.... I didn´t win anything and he won third place and a very nice car and trips and a lot of stuff!

I must say I watch...and it may make some waves, but I think Simon is great. His comments are to the point and harsh, but hey, the arts always come under harsh criticism..I had it in college architecture.......Now, if he made those comments and They voted (not the audience) then it would be harsh, but the fans decide. By the way, I think him being a multimillionaire I think he knows his stuff......

Christina lives in the next county north of me, so that is kewl. But I really think Kelly will win. But like Simon said, Justin will have ease makin it in a boy band.

By the way, has anyone seen the MTV Music awards with Jimmy Fallon from SNL and the judges of American Idol, it is great. ALso, AMerican Idol 2 has already been agreed upon!!!

Well...show just ended for the week....I have to say Kelly blew the doors off that place....that's the kind of music that goes beyond your ears and straight into your brain.

Yesterday I said to somebody, I wish they would do a big band theme- but it was just wishful thinking- so you can imagine how high I jumped off the couch when they announced it this evening!

You are right Fievel-- Kelly was INCREDIBLE. I just love this girl!!!

I wonder if they will put out a "highlights" dvd for those of us who just can't get enough (I am a freak, I know).

She had on a long dress tonight and her hair was done in the style of the 20's.....

now THAT is sexy....understated elegance.
