American Idol......gives me goose bumps sometimes

I think it is worth watching one time... if you've already done everything else in the park. For what it's worth, the stage and overall presentation are pretty cool. What's not as cool is the slow pace of the show, and how much time is spent on trying to rev up the audience or whatever. See it more than once, and you'll realize how canned it all really is.

I've seen an actual American Idol filming but wouldn't mind watching local guests perform. I wonder if they ever showcase bad singers on purpose for the amusement of the guests (like William Hung).

Boy I hope the AIE lives on...have heard rumblings bout its closure. We look forward all the time to catching at least one show, sometimes 2-3 and set up our dining sched so we can catch finale. Ive never seen a clunker. The performers are always so good. From young teens to middle age moms. I sit and watch them and get goose bumps at how good they are and the courage it takes to be up there.
here is a High Five for all those who perform!!!

I used to do the same thing. When the show first opened, there were some great performances, and I'd love to see the finale to see if someone I had routed for earlier in the day would go on to get the Golden ticket. I remember one really talented young man got it, and he seemed sincere about definitely using it to pursue a singing career and get out of his mall job.

That being said, I almost never go to DHS anymore, so I haven't checked it out in ages.

Never set foot in there since that AI Experience opened. Never cared for that tripe TV show to begin with.

Would've been a lot more fun if it was The Gong Show Experience...

Is American Idol (the TV show) a Disney production? I've never watched it, didn't think it had anything to do with Disney. Not that that would make me want to watch it - just not really interested.

Agreed with @tonganprince we feel the same way. I always felt like the big television screen at the front of the building (showing all the AI's winners and such talking about the "experience") those people are basically begging you to come see the show. That really turned me off to seeing the show. It really needs to go.

I like that it is indoors and has air conditioning. I like the hosts, their jokes and personality.

That is all of the positive things I can say about it.

I don't understand why someone (many someones in this case) would come into a thread describing how one person really enjoys a particular attraction, just to say "Well, I hate it, I hope it closes." Who asked? You hate it that much, start your own thread. :banghead:

I think it's great in the beginning, but in the finale when there's so many people singing it just sorta gets boring. Plus I think they could do something better with the space.

What about a The Voice attraction, each show during the day would be the different rounds. I think this would attract a modern audience into the theater. (DUMB QUESTION ALERT) By the way, have they done anything with the old Drew Carey theater?

They were showing an extended preview for the Lone Ranger. Not sure what's next.
