American Adventure

A few new people, like John Williams and Neil deGrass Tyson...

Is Lance Armstrong and Tiger Woods still in there? Wasn't Bret Favre in there too? That is the problem with people, even heroes, they are still human. I remember the last time I saw the show and thinking it needed an update.

can you please tell me the updates
The main show hasn't changed with exception of new AA's in 93.. the finale is the only thing that has changed from the majority of the attraction.

But, I do love throwing this liitle fact..Dallas Mckennon the voice of Ben Franklin in the attraction is also your safety spiel announcer on Big Thunder

Really like american adventure, even as a non American, I like the history and the American dream. We were there in April and were disappointed not to see Voices of Liberty. We must have been on one of the non performing days, but we did really miss not seeing them.

So wait, there are non-performing days? I thought I heard that!

I always cross my fingers that nothing happens to this amazing, beautiful and patriotic attraction.
My questions are: Are the Voices of Liberty still there and do they still perform?
Have there been any rumors of changes or actual changes to the American Adventure?
Ever since they changed the finale music in 2018 I have not stepped foot inside that building. Absolutely horrid.

Possibly the VOL performers are under the weather like some people during the flu season?

No, it's scheduled that way. If there are, say, 12 shows a day of AA, there might be 7 shows from VoL. It's just luck of the draw whether you'll see VoL right before an AA show.

it’s not random, all their shows are in the middle of the day. Which also corresponds with the hours the show is most well attended.

Another weirdo question, sorry, do they ever give tours of what is under the stage, in other words, how the scenes are raised and lowered?

We saw AA Nov. 12 and as always, I cried. The entire show looks "fresher" to me (can't explain why), and the montage at the end has some additions. I can tell that the song has been re-recorded, but it is the same stirring song and music as before. This is a not to be missed attraction for us whether or not we get to see and hear the Voices of Liberty.

Just curious - why?
Never liked that overly-sacharine, commercial way of singing. It masks the singers' natural voices and talent. My wife was friends and a fellow voice major with a woman who ultimately got a job with VOL. I went to one of her recitals and she could have gotten a job at just about any Opera she wanted to. When we saw her in VOL a few years later, she sounded like what I imagine a 70s Hallmark card would sound like.

Also, not been a big fan of Derric Johnson. Great arranger, but kind of a jerk to singers backstage.
