If you watch the most magnifigant show at EPCOT or mabey the WDW resort the American Adventure youll notice at the end that the twin towers are in the skyline of New York

Obviously some guests have made comments becouse i have heard rumors from the cast members there saying they were ethir gonna take it out soon or leave it as a memorium, i prefer to leave it in, but in or out i dont think any of the rest of the ride will be altered, have you heard anything or whats your opinion

I think that they should either leave them the way they are or do what someone did last year at this time and have a red, white, and blue ribbon painted over them in tribute. I think removing them might not be such a good idea. I'm not exactly sure why, I just think they should leave them in.

Leave them in.

They are an important part of our nation's history....just like every other image in that ending.

Jim Henson is gone. Do we now scrub him out?

Martin Luther King and JFK's death were horrible events in our history. Should we replace them with something else more pleasant?

Leave the towers there.

My .02 cents.

Leave them in pleae!!! Let us show our children, grandchildren and so on how beautiful these towers were and how people who could never understand our concepts of life liberty or the persuit of happiness used these giants to try to break our country. No one had bothered to let the terrorists see the American Adventure, else they might have realized that America is not a place or a single structure, but a state of mind. No single item defines us as a nation and this to me is what is represented at the American Adventure. Let the Towers stand Proud and True!! Belle

I say leave it in. We should never forget this. Especially those outside of NYC that are not immediately effected by the tragedy. Americans forget easily, and with leaving the towers in we shall never forget...

Or at leaast I shall never. I knew several people in the Towers and on flight 93. Please do not forget them..

IMHO the Towers have to be left in...to edit them out would just be dismissing them and their importance in our Nation's history. That would be both disrespectful and heartless.

Anything that had the World Trade Center in it before September 11th, should leave it there. WE WILL NEVER FORGET. And to see it around keeps it fresh in our minds.

As that tragic day was over 12 months ago, I think that if they were going to be taken out they would have been removed a long time ago.

I think they should be left and will be left. My sources (which are pretty good, I worked next door) have not heard anything on having the towers removed from the film.

I agree here! The New York Mets have a cutout of the skyling of NYC in their outfield. Rather than remove the towers, they painted them black and put a red, white and blue ribbon on them. I think this was a wonderful way to keep the towers in the skyline, while commemorating what happened. I'd like to see Disney do something like this -- leave them in, but acknowledge that things are different somehow.

I agree - leave them in. Having grown up seeing them there all the time - it would be unpleasant to have them just removed as if they never existed.

It's like the clothes of someone who dies. It's appropriate to keep them for a while, but the time comes to throw them out.

I think the time to take them out will come, but that may not be for a couple years. Once the memorial has been built, the towers should be replaced.

i personally haven't seen the American Experience (don't know why, didn't even realize it before I joined this board, and yes, I do plan to see it when I go down at the end of the month) but I think it is important that they be left as a symbol of our countries strength and triumphs.. we lost a lot of great people in that attack and yet we rose and fought back.. that's what our country does.. to erase those images would be like erasing the event that has changed our history and our lives.. it's just not something that should be done...

I disagree...they should NEVER be replaced...
The american adventure is a celebration of the ups and downs of this nation's history and how we've overcome the good and the bad to make it the great nation that it is today. 9/11 is a MAJOR part of our history now and it ALWAYS will be. Pearl Harbor wasn't "replaced" and that was a national tragedy...George Washington crossing the Delaware wasn't replaced...

9/11 should NOT be replaced.

Isn't the whole thing about the US and their wars/tragedies/ect.? I mean it effected everyone maybe not dirrectly but I think they should remain. I think it will make it a much better show if you can reflect back. Maybe in 10 years or so they'll make a new part that will commemorate Sept 11 I think that would be nice once it's become part of our "history". It already in some history textbooks.

I don't think that Dreamer is being unpatriotic or insensitive.

I also don't think others on this thread are being reactionary or too gung-ho.

I think the best answer is in the middle, and this is why: currently the towers appear in the last scene, which is played as if it is CURRENT. That is the problem. I think maybe it is just a good time to completely re-do the last scene. Perhaps the scene and its precedeing film collage could be edited to include a specific reference to the "new heroes" of 9/11, such as pictures of the firefighters/police and the towers or some other fitting reference, then fade back to the current scene of Ben Franklin and Mark Twain on the ledge of Lady Liberty's torch, with a current NY backdrop or even a simply patriotic background that represents all of America.

Anyway, that is my thought. It must surely include 9/11, but must be careful to end current: building on the past, to prepare for an even stronger future.
