I am kinda of a Disney newbie 04 being my first trip. I really like AA (I am a history teacher) my future wife swears up and down that the statues along the wall use to move when she was a kid. Is this true or false? Hope somebody can help me thanks. :animwink:

It depends on what you define as movement. During the finale, I think I remember the statues (and the wall they are on) dropping out of view before rising post-show. If you mean advanced and lifelike movement, then no. However, there is a statue-lady at the Italy pavilion who pretends to be a statue.

The last refurb (to my understanding) was to do some cleaning up and fixing up of things like the screen and the curtains, etc. Last summer it was closed for a bit to add bits to the film.

It always makes me happy to see that people love AA so much. I did my senior honors thesis about about the American Adventure and Hall of Presidents so I like to see them get credit where credit is due. The AAs alone are amazing in both of these.

I don't think the statues ever moved...

The AA side statues have never moved; they have always been where they are, and static. Not quite the same, but in a perverse way I`m reminded of T2:3D...

I know this is sad, but I have been to WDW around 20 something times and I have never seen AA. I guess I will have to check it out the next time I go.:ROFLOL:

You really should. IMO, It is a top quality show. Aside from being very inspiring, it has some really nice effects, great AA's and a moving script and music. If you're from the US, it can defintely put a lump in your throat and if you're not, it's an interesting view into our history.
