Yeah, because he had affairs. This isn't me being a prude and saying he can't have multiple consensual relationships. He was lying to one person about being monogamous while having all those other relationships. Liar, liar. And there's a DUI.

I know some sports stars like to say, "I'm no model", to take the heat of them for when they behave badly. But then, don't do endorsements or sign autographs. If you put yourself out there as if you were a model to follow, then either be one or get out of the spotlight. And if a person ain't one, then they shouldn't get a spotlight.

Well there goes a third of the Presidents in HoP, including the beloved JFK

I have been on this so many times. It is really cool. Haven't been since they moved it inside.
It's pretty impressive..They built it up now where there are small preshows and some of them have a Pepper's ghost effect and then the last room uses subwoofers placed into the floor so you could feel the attacks around you. Then you make the turn and the big reveal..

I always thought they final montage was problematic. Eisner's inclusion of pop culture celebrities in the parks provided far more negatives then positives.

Hope they rethink the ending of the presentation.
I always wondered why they used mostly entertainers and sports figures at the end. I think it would be good to show builders, construction workers, families, moms, dads, teachers, the butcher, the baker and the candlestick maker, etc... The people that really make this country great.

Just like how Reflections of China shows the real people of China (albeit the more "free" and "affluent" people of Hong Kong and Shanghai and Macau), the American Adventure should show more of the American people. Farmers, factory workers, office workers, etc.

The show isn’t really about the current people of this country but rather about its history and people who made it.

I disagree. The show is to me more about our trajectory: always up! And by showing the current diverse, evolving, growing population it perfectly conveys its message: the golden age is not today, rather it is tomorrow.

It's always difficult to look at history and judge what people did because often we don't look through the eyes of that time. That's why it's important to show the history as it happened and explain why they did it at the time and possibly why it's wrong by today's standards. Perspective means everything and it's up to people telling history like Disney to give extra perspective to today's audience. In my opinion, it's more important to teach people to also look at history retrospectively than to actually teach them the content and to take the retrospective view into consideration before judging.

Except every World Showcase presentation past and present has highlighted the people of the country as what makes the country special.

I had a social studies teacher back in middle school who always emphasized the acronym SPIRE in looking at a civilization. It stands for Social, Political, Intellectual, Religious and Economic. In World Showcase, the easiest (and safest) topics to hit are Social and Intellectual.

Every human at one time finds they break their own moral code. No exceptions to this. Does this excuse their actions? No. Does it mean their accomplishments shouldn't be celebrated in a public way? Maybe.

There's no pleasing everyone with these kinds of attractions. I think the 1982 show has aged very well over time, with the only awkward moments coming from attempts to modernize it with celebrity cameos. As long as the new ending film compliments the AA portions, I think it'll be fine.

On the bright side, going to digital projection will greatly enhance the overall show.
Most of the show scenes feature still backgrounds, and on many of them (Valley Forge, the Exposition, etc.) the constant film grain of the background is highly distracting, at least to me.

Not in favor of any significant changes to the show content itself. It's held up just fine.
