Amazing Lines at US and IOA

Photo 1) Repairs on that side of the JP show building would require the ride to be closed down and drained. Not a smart thing to do, especially with the Barges down for the winter season. That will be repaired during the next JP refurb.

2) It's a picture of the roof getting repaired. So, they are trying to fix that one.

3) The borders screwed around the damage shows that they have acknowledged the situation and have plans to repair. Because it is on the side of the building (and not front side), it has a lower priority.

4) I doubt a hurricane would have torn off a neon light without damage to the surrounding area. It is possible that it has been removed to be replaced, but I don't think the hurricane did that.

5) See the scaffolding? The damage is being addressed.

6) No idea as to why that one is still damaged. I'll admit that one has me stumped. The only possible explanation would be that Nick Studios is in charge of that and haven't determined it to be an issue.

Also, it might not even be hurricane damage. Universal performs rehabs on buildings, just like Disney does....
Good point.

Universal was on top of hurricane repairs. They had to be because of HHN coming up so soon afterwards. The damage that is still there from the storms are either too difficult to just up and repair, or too minor to be of major concern.

, 3-D movies since the 60's when the technolgy was first developed (Disney's first was Captain Eo in the 80's)...
3-D movies have been around since the late forties/early fifties (have you heard of the 1953 movie "House Of Wax" with Vincent Price?:)) Disney made that 3-D cartoon "Working For Peanuts" in the fifties I believe. And their first theme park foray into 3-D was Magic Journeys in the early eighties for E.P.C.O.T. Center.

When we went back in September there were no lines for anything at any time - we walked on every single ride in all the parks - with no wait time whatsoever... but I have to say that we hated Universal all together - so it doesn't suprise me that the parks are empty - hopefully they'll close soon as Universal is just a waste of land that Disney would make perfectly good use of! - :)
Would it be bad that I like USF (not over Disney) but I've always enjoyed myself overthere...:lookaroun and so do lots of people,... for that matter :D

Heading for the great escape.
If Universal Spain is a glorified Six Flags then I guess DLP must be a down market Blackpool Pleasure Beach.

Yes DLP looks fantsatic but its a 1/2 day park and the studios are a 1/4 day park.

I like both Universal and Disney and next summer Ill visit Sea World and Busch gardens, aas well as the big two.

man cannot thrill by Disney alone.
