 I don't know if it is my age, or what, but as I find myself perusing all the things my family will be doing starting Saturday, in Disney World, I find myself getting the 'vapors'! My daughter is 7 and this will be her first trip (my 5th)

I just find myself quietly tearing up , looking forward to all the Decorations, and Characters, and, well just everything!!!

Am I nuts?

I get a lil misty during the firework show of my last night in Disney. Not all out balling or anything, but a sad feeling and a case of the misties!

:p Oh Good! So I can stop worrying that I am getting an early (I am 40) visit from "the change" fairy! LOL! Thanks!

Thanks to lots of you folks here, I hopefully have lots of great stuff on my loose itinerary! Thanks for all the good threads and advice!

I'm getting teary eyed now (with joy I must add) thinking I'll be there in three days time.

Three days!! :sohappy:

Did I mention three days? :D

I bet most Disney guests have that feeling at some point during their trip. How could you not get a little teary eyed at some point? There are so many beautiful and emotionally moving moments throughout the resort.

As far as preparing the trip, I always get really excited and even shed a tear or two when thinking about all the things that I'm going to get to do, and the people that I will be able to share those experiences with.

My daughter's first trip is still years off (she's still an infant) but I get misty thinking about it. So if you're too emotional, so am I. And my wife would argue I'm anything but.

My oldest is almost 6 and has been to the parks 7 times since she was born. My twin daughters were 6 months old when we took them the first time and just went for their 2nd trip in September. They loved it! They knew exactly who everyone was and they were not afraid of the characters AT ALL!

Anyway, my hubby and I start welling up on the buses to the Magic Kingdom every time! I always think about arriving at Disney World with my parents and now I am that parent taking my kids. I hope I never stop welling up when I see the castle!

Have a great time and cry some happy tears for me too!

Last time we were leaving Disney World, there was a bee in our rental car. I usually say goodbye to Disney World as we drive out of its borders, but while I was so busy trying to get the bee out the window, I didn't notice we had left. I all of a sudden looked out the window and saw the unkempt Orlando high way and no sign of Disney. Then I uncontrollably started to cry! It was so weird!
