I have avoided knowing anything about Toy Story Mania (Reviews, photos etc.) because I want to be totally surprised.. I have fast forwarded through podcasts, zoomed past photos on the picture of the day. I am going the weekend to take advantage of the Pass holder previews.Am I the only one that is trying to avoid any prior knowledge?

I have done the same thing. Why ruin the surprise. These forums are great for getting the info you want, but sometimes, there is too much information shared and it ruins the fun. I find I have to be careful what I read as to not spoil things. I want to go into riding the new ride with a blank slate. Same thing for the new SSE. I have completely avoided all of the talk, most of which seems to have been of a negative tone, just so I can enjoy it through my own eyes and those of my family.

Glad to see I am not alone.. I look at it this way .. when the park first opened no one knew what to expect. Rarely these days do we get to experience something without any knowledge of what to expect

In the past, I've done selective withholding of info. For instance, with Everest, I had no problem reading stroies about the ride, hearing descriptions, and even seeing the photo of the Yeti. But I didn't want to watch and preview /on-ride videos till I rode it.

It's all your personal choice. :)

You're not alone :lookaroun

Since discovering this site in 2002 - I have purposely avoided all threads involving new rides and shows. I want to make up my own mind on a ride and not be influenced by anyone else's opinion.

I've done the same thing as Thiger. Saw the U Tube with the Mr. Potato Head but want to be surprised Sunday with the passholder preview. We're really looking forward to it! :)

I try my best but it's hard with the internet. I remember when Everest first opened, I refused to look at a pic of the yeti because I was only a few months away from seeing it in person. Then, someone on these boards with the intentions of spoiling it for everyone, posted a picture of it on every thread they could without warning before the mods caught it. I was so disappointed. It gives me something more to look forward to on my next trip.
