Am I the only one that thinks Limited Time Magic is the lamest promo ever?

Celebrate Everyday promo in 2009..The only thing I liked about it was if you were celebrating your birthday you were entitled to go into one park for free for the day or if you already had park tickets you got a $75 birthday fun gift card to use in the park.....I couldn't pass that up as Uncle Walt was coughing up cash that I couldn't pass up and I came back with a ton of souvenirs during my trip that year!:D

The latest promo - the character autograph cards - have very limited appeal but are quite well done. They had to create 29 very well done art pieces themed specific to the event. Not as splashy as some of the others but cute nonetheless. @mickey_hunter posted a pic in the rumor thread

My only issue with the promo was that "Limited" and "Magic" seem like opposite ideas. Kind of like calling a promotion "Boxed-In Imagination" or something.

I like the concept, however, and I understand it may have been rushed out to fill the gap until MyMagic+. A less corporate-sounding name for the promo would have been better.

I won the opportunity to visit Cinderella's castle suite and Be Our Guest area, so not complaining. I agree that, in the parks, you would never know there was a promotion unless you were glued to the Disney Parks website 24/7.

I believe Disney will be value Imagineering the next promo and calling it Limbo Time Magic. All the already premade signage will just be colored over with black Sharpies by diligent cast members with a sticker containing the letters BO to adhere after the LIM. To celebrate the new promo cast members will be walking around in groups of 4 carrying limbo sticks while one has a standard 80's style "boom-box" with the Limbo Song repeatedly played sung by former Disney Channel star Demi Lovato. All cast members will be required to wear Hawaiian style shirts with jerk sauce stains upon them for that Caribbean flavor. Cast members will be forcing guests to limbo for Fastpasses due to the fact all Fastpasses will be gone long before the parks open due to MM+.

The best times of our lives at the Disney Parks?

Don't give them any ideas

Agree that it was good idea, but poorly executed. People plan their vacations months and even years in advance so it was definitely inconvenient for them and it didn't help that the announcements were made literally days before the actual events. If they listed every single LTM event for the calendar year beforehand so that everyone knew what was going to happen like how baseball teams actually list what promotions or giveaways they give for every game of the calendar year months in advance, then I suppose it would've worked better for park guests who were not locals. I do agree more could have been done other than glorified meet and greets and merchandise pushing of their new versions of old products and their new movies. That's my two cents.

I agree with what you said. It really was poorly executed. And lots of it were for things you could buy. But the one I did not get at all was Christmas in July or whenever it was they could have done so much more. Put the Christmas show on the castle or something. They announced this incredible promotion last year but did not want to put any money into it.

Where would you go to find out what the event was while you were on vacation?

I never saw it at our Resort lobby or on the tv, or inside any of the Parks. I never knew what the LTM was for any of the three trips we made this year.

If I looked on this site, I would.

It was on the times guide of the park holding the event, if there was one. (Mon-Sat only)

And no, the ever changing events didn't portray a sense of vibrancy. Merely slight annoyance that limited offerings are no good for anybody but locals or whomever happens to be in the parks that week.

agreed...anyone posted on or been on the "how many days" thread? People plean these trips years in advance, and then missed -insert lame LTM event here- by a week.

Maybe a draw for AP's or FL residents, but they were not generally worthy of a separate trip.
