Am I missing something here?

Was looking into the Coral Reef for an ADR for an upcoming vaca, and when looking at the menu only 3 of the 11 Entrees are seafood(Seared Mahi, Trout and Salmon). I will look elsewhere for my seafood I guess. What am I missing here?

I counted 5 out 11 for lunch. They have shrimp/lobster. That you didn't list.
5 out of 9 for dinner. Lots on the appetizer list

I'll also add as a non seafood person I appreciate more than a burger/chicken salad on the menu. That way I can eat something other than seafood when I go with the rest of my seafood lovingfamily

what menu did you look at? On the WDW Dining thats all I see.

Actually, now that I look at the Lunch menu it is the same as the Dinner menu. Maybe they don't post the Dinner menu?? I am talking Entrees alone, not appetizers.
I understand having some variety, but if I want a Manicotti, Chicken or Pork... I wouldn't neccesarily be looking at a place call Coral Reef.

EDIT: Dinner menu took forever to change for some reason... now I see 4 of 9 Entrees are seafood(with the addition of sustainable Fish).

The manicotti is lobster...I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot poll though as I hate the stuff;-)

Well it says Baked Cheese Mancotti with a grilled lobster tail. I guess the Italian in me overlooked the w/ grilled lobster tail part. So 5 of 9. Having never been to Coral Reef, I just expected more of a menu closer to Fulton's .

It is a very typical seafood menu.... They need options for people that don't like seafood...

We like the Coral Reef, one of the reasons being that I love seafood and my husband doesn't (the kids are neutral), and we can always be assured that all of us will find something we like.

Like all Disney restaurants, when it comes to the menu, the Coral Reef tends to sacrifice theming in favor of "appealing to the masses." The worst victim is the kids' menu -- I remember going to the Tangeriene Cafe in Morocco to introduce the family to exotic cuisine, and my kids' choices were limited to chicken nuggets and cheeseburgers, nothing remotely Moroccan (!??!) -- but it's a widespread problem.

This is pretty normal. I don't see anything inappropriate about having one beef, one pork, one chicken, and one vegetarian in addition to five fish dishes.

when you put it like that it doesn't seem unreasonable at all....idk...I guess I was looking for purely seafood when we thought about eating there...

Wasn't looking for an ALL seafood menu... just more Seafood options. No Shrimp,Crab or Scallop dishes. I was just surprised. Look at the Menu at Fulton's...many more seafood options while still having the steak, chicken, pork, etc.options. Haven't been to Fulton's in many years... but may have to give them a try instead of Coral Reef.

FWIW... I checked Shula's Steakhouse and they have more seafood entrees.

For ambience and atmosphere, I really like the place, but I have never had any of their seafood dishes. The last time I went, I had the braised pork belly. Loved it. My wife is a vegetarian and loves the Reef.

Oh yeah, Coral Reef is nowhere near the level of a place like that. Food is Applebee's/Chili's level. The atmosphere is what you are paying for.

Their menu used to be so much better. A lot more adventurous seafood options, like shark or swordfish... Now it's pretty standard fare you can get at any of the restaurants (most have several seafood selections). Haven't bothered going there in years.
