Altering 1 ticket in a package

We are 16 days out. My wife was just informed she cannot take an entire week off. It was expected but separating days over 2 different weeks (Thurs - Fri and then Mon - Wednesday), we were hopeful. She will only be there half the time. I do not want to muck around with the package. However, I do want to see if we can get a credit when we alter her park passes. Going from an 8-Day to a 4-Day pass is ~$50. This would pay for the Waterpark and More option on one of our other 2 passes.

Does anyone know if the Concierge/Ticket counter can or will do this at the resort?

Unfortunately it's probably too late to do anything to remove days on your wife's ticket, so I believe you're stuck with what you have.

After you check in, Disney will *not* remove days from tickets or refund you money.

If your trip was more than 45 days out, you'd be able to change the package so that *everyone* had the lesser number of days on their ticket to match your wife's needs. (Because everyone on a reservation has to have the same ticket) Then after you checked in, you could leave your wife's ticket alone and upgrade everyone else's to be what they needed. (Because once you check in, you can upgrade tickets on an individual basis)

Unfortunately, if you try and alter the package now to lessen everyone's tickets, you'll incur a change fee which most likely would equal or exceed your savings in reducing the days on your wife's ticket. (though if it had been a change to the package that would have *increased* the overall package price, like adding days to everyone's tickets, they'd waive the change fee)

Your best bet is to call Disney Reservations right away, explain the situation and see if they might be willing to change your package to reduce everyone's tickets down to what your wife needs without a change fee. You can then upgrade everyone else's tickets after checkin as explained above.
