Trip Report Already? 2 broke guys for 2 more days of Music & Mickey!

Yes, yes, I know we just got back. We went in the middle of December, then again for Christmas, then again in the middle of January, and now - our third month in a row…

Well, that first pic of the Tower was snapped at 5:31pm. This one was at 6:04pm

Sure enough, when exiting, I saw the new wait time was 35 minutes.

Now I had to hurry. The math seemed to math in my head…

…but I always underestimate travel time. In retrospect, I should have taken a Lyft. I took the bus.

Returning to MK, this pic was at 6:41.

I knew my train home was 9-something. I still had time for an hour wait, maybe? Maybe the wait time went down?

Nope. Up to 70 minutes and climbing.

I couldn’t chance missing the train. It was the last one of the night.



Yes, of course the thought crossed my mind. But I already felt guilty leaving Brian for the day. Damned Jiminy Cricket!

Rather than stress myself out standing in a line I might have to hop out of after an hour, I decided to relax, and enjoy the fact that I was in MK at night.

I do love those white lights.

I decided to make up for an oversight on our last trip, and visit “Dad,” knowing it would eat up most of my time. I could get to the airport early. Folks, de-stress whenever you can! It’s the way to go.

Gotta say, there were a lot of douches in the room. There were two girls in front of me who were reciting the script. After what I just went through to get into that seat, and knowing I was leaving afterwards, I said, not quite under my breath, in a sing-song annoyed voice, “Shuuuuuutuuuuuup.”

They did.

Then there was a family in the front row who allowed their 8-10 year old to get up out of their seat. So the ride kept stopping with a CM over the loudspeaker saying, “Stay in your seat.” Then again, “Don’t touch the stage.” Finally, “We’re not moving until everyone is seated!”

What is wrong with people?

They would not harsh my buzz. I was in solo Disney Heaven the entire day. So glad I booked it that way.

Tron, we have a date for next time!

I made the same miscalculation I made on a recent trip (that short-term memory is going.) I forgot you can’t take a Lyft from MK to the airport, you have to go to the TTC first! Aaaahh!!! I missed the monorail by two seconds and had to waaaaait forever for the next one. Maybe I would legit miss that train!

I didn’t.

Got home after midnight. Put our new AP magnets on the fridge.

I’m not sure how soon we’ll be back. I’m resisting the temptation to ride up Tu-morrow to wish my friend @Tuvalu a happy birthday (!) after a quick lunch with B before he goes to work. (He’s recovering from a cold.)

In the meantime, I do have unlimited car washes every month, and I love watching the screen as I go through.

That’s almost a ride!

The next night, I went to a turnabout night (amateur drag) fundraiser/silent auction for the local LGBT softball league.

…and won 3 baskets!

The fun never ends! The heart monitor came off yesterday. An echocardiogram had a few abnormalities but nothing concerning, according to the nurse practitioner. Whew! The adventures never end, either.

Our priority in March is the trip to Costa Rica (still being finalized.) I know we’ll be up in June & August, but hoping for more semi-spontaneous 2-day trips on B’s days off - although I have to let him rest sometime!

In the meantime, happy Valentine’s Day early!
