We went ahead and booked a room for 2 nights for our June Disneyland visit. I've driven by it hundreds of times, all the way back to when I was a toddler, and am finally taking the opportunity to stay.

Fantastic.

Please report back some thoughts on what your stay was like at the Alpine when the time comes !
We need a full, honest review from a fellow Park fan.

Whelp, thanks to the Covid Apocalypse, folks who still don't have a 'Real ID' to travel via airplane have another two years to acquire one.
The date was extended yet again last week, and you now have until May 2023 to get one.

This news made me quite happy.
Now i can book the rest of my planned visit without sweating over if i will be able to get one in time for the trip !
Woo !!

It kinda annoys me that Oregon charges $30 extra to get a real ID. Shouldn’t they just make their IDs federally acceptable? Having said that, I think I’ll pay it when I’m due to renew my license next year. I have a passport as back up tho.

Well, the dumpster was moved back out front and off to the side but all the caution tape is still removed.

It's part of a process. This is a Phoenix rising from the ashes, after all.

It takes some time. It has to shake off the dust before it regains its past glory and its rightful place in the world.

To change the analogy for no good reason, it's like opening a fine wine. You have to give it time to breathe, to rejoin the world.
