Almost time to pack

Can anyone think of something you would not want to forget to bring? I have a million lists of items to bring, buy, etc. The one thing I don't like to travel without is orajel! (You know, for teething) The benozcaine in it is great at helping boo-boos! Last time my son who was three at the time snapped his stroller seat belt and caught his skin in it, making a blood blister. He started screaming and a cast member came running, thinking he had gotten stung. When I unhooked him, I dabbed on the orajel and he stopped crying instantly! So who else has weird stuff they always travel with?:D

I always have Pepto-Bismal...look at the list of things it treats sometime. ;) I always have ASA (I'm allergic to non-steroidals) and some sort of allergy meds, plus anti-itch cream (if anyone is really interested, I'll let you know which one works best for my kids...I just never let them know what it's REALLY meant for!...pardon the poor grammar, it's early ;))

Don't forget madicine like nyquil, dayquil, or formula 44. It never fails, i always come down with a cold when we go to Disneyworld. Walt Disney World is my most favorite place on earth and there is nothing worse than being sick in the happiest place on earth.

Don't forget sunscreen (it's REALLY expensive down there), aspirin, bandaids, Tums, first aid ointment, and anything that you use all the time at hme without thinking about!

GUM!!! If your kids are like mine the gum comes in handy to bide time before you eat. Just remember not to let the little ones throw it down or stick it to anything. Have a GREAT trip!

That liquid bandage stuff, that stuff is great for blisters! Bandaids always seem to get all gross and fall off at the worst possible time.

A few snacks from home if you can't make it to the store before checking in. They can be a little expensive at the resorts. Plus, after you finish them, you'll have some extra room in your baggage for all the stuff you'll probably buy! :)

Also, don't know how old your kids are, but I would bring a few of their favorite toys for down time in the hotel room.

And don't forget any favorite books! My son loves Where the Wild Things Are, and can't go to sleep without it. We actually have 2 copies one for home and one we keep in the suitcase at all times. Which is helpful, but my DH and I got some strange looks when just the 2 of us went away alone. We forgot it was in there and when they searched our bag, of course they found that first!

P.S. I LOVE the Oragel idea! I never thought of it before, but will try it soon! Thanks!

since I just hit the store yesterday, I got cereal bars, mole skin, shampoo, conditioner, liquid soap (yes I save the disney soaps ) a box of zip lock bags, ( gallon size) a first aid travel kit ( has everything ya need in it ), sun block, stuff for bug bites, battieries, and those disposable bowls. Of course this is the first trip to the store .. I still have 6 days left to get everything ..and I will forget something .. always do :)

A favor.....

Hi figmentmom,

We're leaving in a few eeks, would you care to come over and pack for us? :D

All kidding aside, our saving grace on our last trip was my backpack (believe it or not) We used it to store diapers and other assorted stuff for our son and various snacks for ourselves (Power Bars and junk) This was much easier than bringing a diaper bag that holds basically nothing! Also, it was great to store anything that we purchased throughout the day.

It hung right on the stroller so I didn't really need to lug it around all day.

A big one for my wife is sunglasses, we ALWAYS end up buying her a pair of shades because on the plane I always get:
"%$# I forgot my sunglasses"

Take care veryone!

Go B's!!!!
