Hi All,
I have requested to stay in the alligator bayou rooms when we come for our trip to disney world. I know there is a chance that we might not be granted this request but if we do, could anybody give me their reviews on the rooms, we will have our 2 year old toddler with us also.. all comments will be greatly appreciated.
TIA :)

We stayed in Alligator Bayou over spring break. We really liked our room. I do suggest you get the preferred room. We were in the farthest building and it was a loooonnngg walk to the food court. But we were close to the bus stop which was very nice. Have fun!! ºoº

Thankyou @IRBIWDW not too bothered about having a walk to the lobby as we won't be using that much. We was more concerned about being close to a bus depot and a small pool, as most of our time will be spent at the parks ☺️

We had 5 adult women in an Alligator Buyou room and of course, it was tight but I loved that resort! Right next to a smaller pool. I didn't realize they don't have pool towels at the smaller pool so grab one at the main pool. We walked over from the lobby with our bags, that was a huge mistake. Ha ha! Way too long to drag bags in the heat! Bus stop was right around the corner.

We really enjoyed our stay in the Alligator Bayou room last year. Plus we were in a building really close to the bus stop that's first for the theme park buses so it was super convenient. It is easy to get lost in the dark making your way to some of those buildings :)

We loved Alligator Bayou! Peaceful walk from the main building to our room at night over a quaint bridge and past quiet spots with hammocks. Very relaxing. And the decor was perfect, not over the top.

Our first visit was in Alligator Bayou and the farthest from the lobby but it didn't bother us a bit. We loved the quiet pools and being so close to the first bus stop (West Depot). We stayed in building 24. Have a great time.

A few years ago, I surprised my wife with a long weekend to WDW and I picked Alligator Bayou as it was for her birthday. I picked a building that was "kinda" away from the pools and a little quieter. The room was great and we will stay in Alligator Bayou again!!

If you want to know anything and everything about Port Orleans (both sides of the resort), check out this website....

I thought the west depot was the 1st stop? @Uncle Lupe
I would have to look at a map later. I remember using one of the outlier depots the first day and waiting 20mins watching buses go by in the rain. When we came back getting off and getting lost on resort paths because it was so dark and flooded trying to find our room at night.

First time being there and not knowing our way around part of that problem. But the rest of the vacation we used the depot near the front of the resort by the gift shop.

Since the buildings in Alligator Bayou are only 2 story, they don't have elevators. So you will be carrying your luggage and that stroller up a flight of stairs if you get a room on the 2nd floor. The pull down bed also impacts storage space for clothes - if I remember, there are only 3 drawers that you can only access when the bed is closed.

And yes, it's easy to get lost in the dark....

I'm sure it wasn't just a one time thing but I know for both of our visits we used the West Depot and had great experiences. We had some waits but nothing that was too unreasonable.

Also we had 5 in our room and to help with the space problem that @LAKid53 suggests I bought a collapsible laundry hamper at walmart for a couple of bucks. It fit in the bottom of my suitcase without taking up any room and when we got there I just set it up in the corner of the bathroom to keep all the dirty clothes picked up. In the bathroom is a very long shelf and I stacked all of my clothes along with both my daughters clothes on the rack and didn't have any problems with the shortage of drawers.

We stayed in Alligator Bayou in January. I requested a room in either building 16 or 17 to be close to the food court and main bus stop. It was great. I don't think it was a preferred room.
