That place probably had coronavirus before this pandemic
For Magic Mountain, Roaring Rapids was really well themed. It's a simple oval but the rock work is fantastic as are the waterfalls. It is also a large raft so it has capacity. The Roaring Rapids area of the park is very woodys with lots of trees and themed to the outdoors. The ride really gets moving to a point of feeling almost unsafe. It was one of the first of these type of rides that are common place now.

It's one of the few I've been on that feel like a real "rapids" ride instead of just a mildly spinning log ride. The wave at the end of the triple drop is amazing. Always fun to see who "gets it" as the boat spins into that wave. Seems like other "rapids" rides just get you wet from jets or waterfalls instead of the actual rapids.

Absolutely agree - for being one of the first ones it is still one of the best. It just feels like you're in a raft that just gets sent down a river and "good luck!".
Kali River Rapids is a sad embarrassment in comparison. But it's queue is filled with crap from WDI field trips!!!!

Man, riding this thing a few time in a row was tradition for my friends and I growing up. Such an amazing ride, especially when considering it's at Six Flags.

Same with us, we would ride multiple times at the end of the night when it first opened when there was no line and drive home just reeking of that water smell. Good times, good times.
Then you all ate dinner at In&Out.

I wish! This was probably 1981/1982 or so and I'm thinking we just had the McDonald's off the freeway back then, but it was all good.

The chain was, but I do not remember that one in Valencia there at that time - I could be wrong though.

I loved to go up in the Sky Tower and watch rafts drift into that sideways firehose blast just before the lift hill.
