All Stars Music - bus loading area - lines?

I gave my niece and her husband Disney Passes and Disney $ for their wedding so they are joining us for our Labor Day weekend trip. We switched from the Coronado Springs to the Family Suites so we can all stay together. I normally avoid the All Stars Resorts like the plague due to the lack of an organized que for loading the buses. Has this been corrected? Or is it still a mad stampede in the mornings?

PS Comments on the Family Suites are appreciated! Will I hate it??

Thanks!!!

I just stayed there 3 weeks ago....we had this weird feeling about a value resort...we've only stayed at the Wilderness Lodge and CBR and were always told that value resorts were bad news...we were pleasantly suprised with ASM. The kids are louder at the pool areas...and there are more of them....not having a fridge for free was a bummer...and the walk to the food court was a little longer than we were used to.

But we always got on the first bus that came to us in line at the resort...and they were never too overcrowded. There were only ever maybe 20-30 people in line. People seemed to take their times in the morning. I'm sure they run double runs in the morning between 8:30 and 10:30 or so...
Since the busses come about every twenty minutes, the wait is never that bad. And coming back from the parks near closing time wasn't bad either because they were running two busses at the same time for each of the value resorts.

Hope this helps!

I haven't stayed in a suite but I did stay at AS Music over spring break and the bus loading area was very organized. We never had any trouble and sometimes there were up to 50 of us in line at a time.

It has not really changed. There is a roped off queue so to speak but people will go around it all the time. I was pleasantly surprised by the suites. They were great with the wife and 3 kids. I do not think that I would use them for 2 set of adults though. I would opt for a pair of rooms unless you really want the kitchen.

I thought the queue was quite organized in June. People took their turn, everyone was polite, and there was never a huge line up. I never waited that long for a bus either!

Sounds like they have improved the All Star lines. When I satyed at Movies I found that the morning busses were fine (they had more then enough running) it was the evening when the park closed that it was terrible. I think it is close to that way for any resort.

My advice is to be careful about the times you get on the bus if you are concerned. In the morning either go a good amount of time before opening or wait until an hour after opening to let things clear out. In the evening either leave before the fireworks or closing or let yourself leasurely stroll to the exit. It is nice to take a load off and watch the stampeade out of the park and when you get to the busses they have mostly cleared off. It's your vacation and you don't have kids that you want to rush off to bed so relax and take it easy. I am sure you will find the busses easy to navigate at any resort when you make the effort to avoid the most crowded times.

Have fun!

I always stay at All Star Sports, and the lines for the busses works pretty good with the roped lines they use. I have never had a problem

I'd like to echo the comments of others- in all my experiences, the roped queue has keep things smooth and controlled, and even during Summer, ASMu had its own bus 90% of the time.

Ah...you've reassured me. The last time I stayed at any of the All Stars there was no roped que for the buses. It was basically a sign post and people came from all directions to get on the buses...mayhem!! Thanks everyone...I feel much better now!!
