All-Star Movies Questions

My family (Wife, 2 kids, nanny) are heading to WDW in 3 weeks, and booked 2 rooms at the all-star movies. Does anyone have answers to the the following?

1. Can the double beds be moved together to form a king?
2. Are the shower heads fixed, or are they on a hose? If they are fixed, does anyone have problems showering small children?

i think the rooms are either a 1 kingsize bed or two doubles, i m not sure they move though as i think they might be fixed at the headboards.
and if i remember right the showers are fixed on the wall, but they are in a bath tub which are tiny so you might be able to bathe them instead.
you could always get an upgrade to family suite at movies

My little ones hate hotel showers (we have a hand held shower head at home). Their biggest complaint is water spraying in their faces. Things that we have found helpful are... 1) wash clothes to cover their eyes - and this gives them some control. 2) we've been 'practicing taking hotel showers' at home for our upcoming trip and 3) using a large cup to pour water over their heads for shampoos. good luck!

Yeah, the showerheads are in fact fixed. I don't know about the beds. They may be as well (to the headboards) as mentioned above. I haven't really noticed, but if they aren't then it shouldn't be too big of a problem. You'd just have to slide the nightstand across the room and then move the beds together.

I believe that the beds can be pushed together if you remove the nightstand. I can't really remember what's under them.

When we travel we do what DS calls "bucket showers"
We run water from tub faucet. Use a large cup (like the refillable ones) to pour water all over him, then soap up followed by some more buckets of water. This is exactly how we've done it for our past few vacations and it's worked out great.

I think that if the room hasn't been updated the beds can be moved. I read that Disney is changing to the box bottom style beds in the rehabbed rooms.

As others have said, the shower heads are fixed.

There are a few rooms with king-sized beds in each building - although they might be considered handicapped accessible rooms. You might try contacting the resort to inquire about getting a room with a king bed that adjoins a standard room. Good luck :wave:.

I believe at POR they have the box bottom because when I would do a final room check before we left I'd look under the bed only to remember that nothing could have gotten shoved under there. I dont think you'd be able to move them though.
