I'm going to be honest, I think that float concept looks really cool. It's elegant, "curly" and reminds me of something from Spectromagic and Dreamlights rather than the sort of ugly blocky designs of Paint the Night. And i'm not really seeing any indications that it would lack the traditional twinkle lights, which is also a good sign for people who dislike floats such as PtN's Monsters Inc "TV screens on wheels" designs.

I'm liking what i'm seeing so far conceptually. I hope they come together well in the final design and they don't screw up the soundtrack with modern rave beats and pop music. Another ugly blemish on PtN.

I hope the parade's soundtrack takes cues from Tokyo Disneyland's Nightfall Glow where the music was relaxing and had a sense of beauty.

I thought of an idea for how the opening music for this parade could go. In the beginning of Paint the Night they do a slower version with chimes or bells (I'm not sure what instrument) of Baroque Hoedown, what if instead of Baroque Hoedown they did the tune of "Starlight, starbright, first Star I see tonight".

I think the Moana float gives dream lights vibes to me.

It does look like a float that could be in Dreamlights, just depends on how many lights it has. I hope the floats won’t be basically a blue glow with white lights and no color. Theme wise it appears their going with Stars in the night sky type thing, which is a cool idea but I hope it’s more like a transition similar to how the finale floats in Spectro and also the finale of Dreamlights change from colored lights to all white then back again.

I think some are reading a bit too much into things in terms of colour. We've only seen art for four floats - one of them not that clearly, one of them is most certainly not blue, and then the blue fairy and moana float with the sea lend themselves to being blue.

Now once more art is reveiled and the majority is blue that's a different story.

I have a gut feeling this parade is going to be a Spectro MSEP hybrid like Dreamlights if not another waltz. My wishful thinking is that the blue fairy is going to be led by the horn section and that Casey Jr will will be towing a Silly Symphony section ending once again with a giant piano played by chip and dale.

You are right we’ve only seen 4, well actually 3 floats since they did not actually show the Frozen float. That artwork is definitely vague since the Stingray looks more like a mermaid fin lol.

Music wise I feel like this will be on the slower grander side or a Waltz. It’s also possible that music played in their instagram video following the expo was actually part of the music.

As far as floats I am very curious to see what float follows the Blue Fairy or if anything comes before her. This isn’t MSEP so anything can happen.

First thing I thought of!

Glad I wasn’t the only one who thought that lol. I mean obviously we know it’s supposed to be a Stingray but it definitely doesn’t look like it lol. In all seriousness hopefully it’s larger in size and it would look really cool if it glows like in the movie.

Also, with RGB lighting, there's no reason not to expect them to be able to control the color of every light on every float.

Certain themes may lend themselves to certain colors and hopefully, they have the foresight to appropriately position float colors in a way that makes visual sense but I'd expect lighting to be very much in sync with the music, allowing for floats to go in and out of color patterns that match their unique theme or switch to a single unified color at some point in a song to connect it all before drifting back.

The lighting should be the most dynamic part of whatever it is they end up with, here.

It's cheap and easy and people can do it with their front yards for half a dozen holidays a year so it's the minimum of what I expect, here.

So far, the floats look majestic to me—fitting for MK. I don’t want Christmas lights on a float in 2025.
I want dreamlights style where they're still very majestic but you can see the individual lights on the floats, I'm not a huge fan of the paint the night style, I still love paint the night but I prefer dreamlights/spectromagic.
