I genuinely hope this is good...

If corners are cut and this becomes another mediocre offering, it will be damaging.

A concern we all have. My hope is there is secretly excitement among insiders but it’s a situation of their lips being sealed rather than the parades budget being slashed and it turning into a disappointment.

It has to be better than Spectro or MSEP. A lateral or reverse move to offerings that were decades old would be a failure.

It’s not just that. I think there has been silence on most things from insiders. The Disney rumor, to me, well has noticeably run dry as of late. Interestingly I think it stated around the muppetvision closing reveal.

Wanna know what I think? The whole muppetvision fiasco getting leaked early on and the ensuing controversy and stuff going on for months lead Disney to finally put their foot down on leakers. Remember how a lot of people thought muppets was safe again around October or something? I think Disney was trying to weed out leakers. I think we’re in a “wait until it opens/official information only” phase for a while unfortunately. That’s just me tho.

Any actual insider people feel free to correct me.

They may not be running this parade starting in Town Square like they have traditionally done. I wonder if Ops doesn't want to manage a different route (albeit it's the same route just in reverse but still - we all know how hard Ops fought against another nighttime parade so I could see them not wanting any differentials between it and the daytime route).
I prefered when parades would start at town square. I'm guessing they are starting in Frontierland so it would cause less people to overcrowd in main street for the first peak of the parade.

I will be Shocked if Starlight starts at TBA! The direction of the Party Parades never affected the direction of MSEP/Spectro. I would be overjoyed at a Flag Pole Spot but I need confirmation.....

Being careful about not getting hopes up too high yet, but its sounding more and more like this will not be a paint the night thumping Ginza district parade down Main Street, but instead a more sweeping orchestration since they keep alluding to MSEP. Maybe more baroque sounding than spectro? Though I would have preferred a spectro variant but will take it, its fun to speculate.

They’ve also run night parades the traditional route for Halloween and Christmas parties, so maybe they just want to stick with that. I’m sure photos of the parade with the castle in the background are better advertising than Main Street with no real focal point in the background.

I’m gonna disagree on this. Disney are the ones who posted two different concept arts of Monstropolis in two different locations. Insiders had nothing to do with where it would inevitably be. They showed that from the get go Muppetvision was a possibility of getting the axe.

Fond memories of watching Spectro starting in Town Square. It was awesome seeing the glow and flashing lights from the Spectromen waiting behind the gate, then a wow moment when the gates open revealed the floats.
