I've got to tell you I stopped by the new ThinkPlace exhibit in Innoventions West and thought it was very Retro Epcot. I reminded me of the old Dreamfinders School of Drama.

You stand in a little kiosk. The computer screen tells you to run in place, jump and then dance. It captures your motions and then imports your image to a video game that you can play. You control your character as it runs and jumps through the game.

It was a good direction and nice to see.

Very cool!:D Certainly better than the current JII IW.

Some of those exhibits in Innoventions have become hidden treasures. They are more forward reaching and innovative than some of the "Future World" attractions.

As it should be, as it should be.:)

Speaking of Future World attractions :animwink:, wouldn't it be great if they brought back World of Motion!

Now I don't mean the old version (although it was a great attraction), but rather a new pavilion that showcases future transportation technologies as foreshadowed in the SSE descent and post show.

I love TT and believe it is worthy of a Future World attraction. However it's storyline is not forward looking. I love the whole "monster garage" look of the queue and would really like to see Imagineering turn up the theming a notch and change the storyline. Rather than have it be a standard test track it would be much more appropriate if instead it was a test of future technology. More specific the emerging autonomous vehicle technology the ride already seems to reflect. So then, I think it would be great to have a vehicle that is "self navigating" and we are along for the test of the technology. The vehicles would talk to us (artificial intelligence) and at one point it would announce it was "tired" of the same old routine and would break out of the normal test track for a quick spin on the open road that had programmed into it's memory. At the begining of the ride the passengers would pick the obstacles we want to have the car test similar to how we choose options on M:S. It would be somewhat meaningless but would push the story forward.

OK, thats all for this installment of As The World of Motion Turns. (sorry :o).

Next time my grand new idea.....

A brand new monorail station at the WoM!

Why for? (just a little bit of Jim Hill verbage for dramatic effect)

"Why for?", you ask. Because it's there. Simply because it's there.

Stay tuned and I return you to your regularly scheduled thread.

The descent of SSE is going to be great.

It wouls be very cool to have the Mono pass through the building, but I don't think it's possible.:(

Oh yes, I have already thought it through. If you can't move the mono to the building, you move the building to the mono. You'll see, you will like the idea. It's true EPCOT Center-esque. More later. :)

:ROFLOL:

Actually that car wash clutter fest that hoses you down with coke or something is going away in my "little" plan.

Ah...I ate there last summer.. I can see what you are going to do now.;) Don't know if I like the trip into EPCOT stopping at WoM, though.:lookaroun
