All 47 Rides in One Day!?

I had four burgers in four parks in one day once.....and also four pics with four Mickeys in four parks in one day too.

That's pretty cool. Were you tired when the day was over?

It's a cool idea for those who have been a good amount of times. Set small goals like these and do something different, just for the heck of it.

We do, like one day we did all of the films in all of the pavilions at WS, or eat something at every pavilion, take a picture of every garbage can (unique to each "land") at every resort and park at WDW and so on...

However, this (WDW47) I have never done, and now we will set our sites a little higher, the inspiration strikes.

Yea I agree, these small goals are cool. And it sure was tiring. The longest wait time for the Mickey was at the Studios, and the quickest wait was in Magic Kingdom, there was like 10 or less minutes. My first goal was to have a pic in front of all park icons but since I cannot take a pic in front of Earful Tower I had to settle for the front of the theater. That was pre-hat lol.

got several thoughts on this...

1st - does anyone else think that katy, jungle cruise tour guide, looks like one of the spice girls? LOL...
2nd - felt sorry that they didn't make it. they were close. seemed like a lot of crossing the parks and extra park hopping. understand that fastpasses, lines, etc. had a role in that..

3rd- I actually believe that it is doable. here are my thoughts on it though.... could be all wrong, but it wouldn't be the first time. LOL... anyway, here is what I would do.

I would go during a slower period where the parks aren't as packed. shorter lines, that sort of thing. like middle to late September.
I would also do the fastpass+ to get the passes for the rides that are more popular and have longer lines. I would, however, put the passes of the rides in the same park closer together so that the only park hopping that would be done is when each park is complete.
get ride times for all the rides. I know this does not include lines, but at least this way I could get a better idea of how long each ride takes to ride to factor in.
get a map of the parks and see where each ride is located and do my best to calculate time it takes to walk to each ride, guess as best as I could on wait times ( could use a wait time app to get a better idea on that), utilize single ride lines if possible and try not to cross the parks as much as possible to cut down on time in between rides. i'd do what I could to go from ride to ride that are closer together as best as I could instead of crossing the parks. I know this will happen somewhat, but I would do my best to cut that down as much as possible.
i'd probably start off in epcot, then head on over to animal kingdom and knock it out quick, then head on over to hs and knock that out, then finish in mk taking advantage of smaller lines during the electric parade and fireworks display.

Problem with going in September is rides would be down. They had to go when no rides were in refurb.

Pfft. Thanks to Peter Pan's Flight and Journey of the Little Mermaid....two lines in one day.

*ps, I'm predicting that the next Little Mermaid attraction built at WDW will be called either "Excursion of the Little Mermaid" or "Travels of the Little Mermaid". Just pull out a thesaurus and find other words for "Voyage".

The reason why they have to park hop so much is that they have to do certain rides in the morning at the MK because of early closures like the Riverboat / Main St Vehicles / WDW Railroad , and at Studios (backlot tour) and EPCOT (Energy, Imagination). I've tried to attempt to visit all of the attractions (shows included) and parades at the Magic Kingdom and that was super hard on it's own especially when it comes to the Meet & Greets (town sq, tinker belle) with their super long lines

And Katy is a friend of mine. She is an amazing Skipper!

That is crazy. A lot of things could go wrong in most situations. They're bold enough to even do it and that is a reward by itself.

Challenger accepted!!

Really cool feat if someone does it! I also agree summer time is really the only time it could be done due to not having refurbs and also longer park hours. I know in Dec when I've been going lately, parks close for 8 or 9. No way this could be done with those times.

I would like to re-emphasize this

DLR- 2 parks - 53 rides
WDW - 4 parks - 47 rides

:banghead:
Does the DL number collapse the main st vehicles into one? Technically you can add 3 to WDWs count because the website has demphasized the different types due to their erratic use.

I didn't count the Main Street Vehicles has rides, but I guess if the Trolley in DCA counts, then the vehicles on Main Street should, too.

With that being said, WDW has 51 rides and the DLR has 57.

I was one of the two guys who ran WDW47 and I made the video.

Some if you already have the gist of it; in order to do EVERY ride you have to find a rare time when EVERY ride is open. That is almost never.

So Summer is about your only option and you need the extra hours as well.

I know that everyone initially thinks that you hit one park at a time and clear it out before moving on to the next but that does not work. First off you have some crazy early closures that have to be taken care of. You also have late openings to deal with. You also have to work the fast pass times into the mix. If you get a fast pass at noon and the return time is 6 you can't just hang out for 6 hours!

In fact fast passes may hurt you for much if this because of the inflexibility of them.

Also please remember rule #1 is no cheating. It would be easy to have people collect fast passes for you or whatever but we decided that it had to be 100% honest and legit as any guest could do.

99% comes down to having a solid plan and trusting it. Things will go wrong but you need a plan. You WILL fail if you just try to wing it.

We proved that it is possible and we consider it a success. Next time we will make the challenge bigger and tougher still.

And DO NOT under estimate the physicality of this... It is hard!

Is taking a taxi from park to park cheating?
At any rate, I loved the way that this video showed that such an accomplishment is possible, but didn't actually pull it off.
I wonder how many attempts there have been already.

We went by the rules that we could only do what was available to any guest. A taxi is available to anyone who chooses to use them.

We did not have a private driver or anything like that.

Every single choice we made could be repeated by anyone else if they chose to do so.
