There have been rumors resurfacing again regarding an update on Alien Encounter starring Stitch from Lilo and Stitch. I don't know about you guys, but I think Stitch would be a welcomed addition to Alien Encounter. Maybe they could add more things in the attraction such as Stitch's cool voice as well as more surprises. Any one else have any more info. on this and what do you all think of the possible Stitch addition?

I don't know, the movie was a hit and Stitch is a popular character. Just because the initial "hype" of a movie is still not present, doesn't mean Disney can't do something with one of its movies. Just look at the recent Magic Carpets of Aladdin.

An Aladdin attraction has been long rumored for the area ever since the movie came out. I also think aladdin is more popular now than stitch is.

Aladdin in Tommrowland? Please let me know how Aladdin fits into Tommrowland. Stitch should get his own attraction and let Alein Encounter stay as is. They should knock down the skyway station and put somthing there.

I think you misunderstood what I said...

I meant that the Aladdin Attraction was long rumored for where it is now, in Adventureland. I don't think that Aladdin should be in Tomorrowland.

Agreed, Stitch has absolutely nothing to do with Alien Encounter. To add Stitch and make it decent would be almost impossible. Just because Stitch is an alien doesn't mean he fits into this attraction.

I think it would just be kinda weird to put Stitch in there. he's pretty cool, but I don't think the Alien Encounter is the place for him.

I remember NowInc saying this stuff a while back... that Stitch would not fit in with Alien Encounter. He was right... I can't see Stitch in there. It would ruin the whole Extra TERRORestrial Encounter idea they had going with the attraction.....

Adding Stitch would imply it's a kid's attraction.

Most kids are AFRAID of prolonged darkness (not to mention the harnesses)

Alien Encounter's set-up relies on AUDIO effects --- so it must be DARK.

If you turn on the lights and remove the harnesses and put a friendly alien in the middle of the room... well... you've got the Sonny Eclipse show at the Tomorrowland restaurant!

Sorry-- the make-over just won't fly.

In order to do this makeover correctly, they'd need to significantly alter darn near everything about the current show. Because once Stitch accidentally beamed into the room, how can it be scary? Despite some wild antics, Stitch is from a kid movie and kids see Stitch as way more lovable and funny than they do scary. Therefore, there's no way they could successfully do a prolonged lights out, and most of the psychological effects with the seats and shoulder bars would be ineffective in a lit room.

Can't see how they can do this and pull it off with the public. People have complained enough since '55 that Snow White's Scary Adventures is too frightening for little ones and not eventful enough for older kids and grown ups. Hence, it's been considered one of the oddest received rides by guest's reactions in Disney history. Why does it stay in the parks? Because Snow White and Mickey Mouse are the two major things that put Walt on the map. This is also why the ride (particulary the one in DL) has been altered so much over the last 47 years. No way Snow White's going anywhere, but no way will they ever make this ride perfect w/o completely starting over.

I think this alleged Alien Encounter makeover is nothing but a rumor.

The most I can see happening is maybe replacing the loveable little Skippy in the glass tube with Stitch (just because it kinda resembles the little glass "jail" that they put him in at the beginning) Think about it...actually, some of us have already seen avatars with Stitch and glowing red eyes...(and when Skippy get's "beamed up" he gets burned and his eyes glow red)

But, I would prefer a surfing attraction or something along the lines of a dark ride with Stitch...or how about a little "Hawaiian Rollercoaster Ride"

I like the idea of a stich attraction, but not at the expense of alien encounter. haven't we already seen this with wom and horizons? Leave alien encounter, and place stich where the old skyway station is. It' s not getting used, so use it for something. Or, what about putting one where the 20k lagoon is?

Stitch is too great a character to not get his own attraction. The story is perfect with just the rgiht mix of action and heart. I would love to seem them do something where Stitch simply causes problems... but in that naive, childish way that he has in the movie. If they try and make him scary... the completely ruin the character. I love that 'Hawaiian RollerCoaster Ride' idea. That is great and would fit in perfectly in FantasyLand. That's one good thing about Stitch. Imagineering has two plots of land in two different areas that are phenominal for theming.

Eisner has to do something with Stitch. I think it is simply a matter of when and where...
