Hey. I found a petition here to try and save Alien Encounter. Sure I know it's probably too late and this is all for nothing but it sure made me feel better  I could use a phrase on there that probably wouldn't go over too well with the people here :animwink: So here check it out and sign the thing if you wish. Hey doing this at least makes me feel I didn't lose AE without a fight.

Unfortunately, as it stands, Alien Encounter has just about a month left to say as it is. Petitions usually never work for Disney...but what DOES help is mass-letter writing. That's the direction I would go in.

Good luck.

I say it's time for a change...I went on it in June and couldn't have been more bored...especially during the pre-show. It needs some work.

Oh I've already written letters and sent emails to the place they give you the addresses to when you complain at City Hall. And that didn't seem to help too much. This is really just to really just kinda for show. And it will make me feel better if alot of people sign it

Thanks alot Griz.

Yeah, as much as I loved Lilo and Stitch, there are other places within' WDW I'd rather see that movie pop up. SIR and Skippy are two very well done original characters, something that is getting to be more and more of a rarity these days when it comes to attractions. SIR is such an advanced animatronic, AND Skippy is just so damn cute!:)

Amen! This is really what bothers me almost as much as losing the attraction itself. We are losing another ORIGINAL attraction that was not created just because of a movie or tv show.

Well I've got some interesting new news. I just recieved a phone call from Walt Disney World regarding my letters and emails concerning the changeover at Alien Encounter (I'd say they got tired of seeing me at City Hall too  ). And the kind lady told me that my complaints were sent to management and that all of these things I've been hearing were just rumors and there are no plans to change the attraction.

I really wish I could believe that  But I know good and well that Disney CM's will flat out lie to you just to make you feel better about something. So take all of that for what it was worth but I do think it was odd that I recieved a phone call from them. That has never happened to me before. But again I'd still say that we've only got one more month of originality in the Tomorrowland Interplanetary Convention Center :(

This sounds crazy... I know there have been some discussions about the "quick change" of Alien Encounter, but I haven't seen a green light anywhere...

To "Get a life," an anonymous signer of the petition.

Right back atcha. If you are passive about something, why don't you just leave it alone? That was very immature.

*sigh* This is what happens when we can become anonymous...

Of course I did! That's one side of the extreme. The other is, "10 new countries will be added to World Showcase."

perhaps the AE change is not for sure. if that is the case we need to send the mass letters to prevent it from happening in the future. (im probably just being naive). EVERYONE SIGN THE PETITION! it cant hurt. please to any of you that have sent letters to eisner or whoever- PLEASE GIVE ME AN ADRESS! i think it will also benefit any one else who doesnt want to see this wonderful attraction go down the tubes.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP!

In all seriousness It seems like AE's fate has already been sealed. And I don't think Petitions work with Disney because they, for the most part, are going to do what they want to do no matter what people think about it. I basically stumbled upon this petition again and I was just curious to see how many more people felt the way I do about AE.
