Yes, it is true. They are serving beer and wine at Be Our Guest (the new restaurant in the new area ofFantasyland) during dinner only.

Yes. Alcohol will now be served in the MK. I know a guy who cannot go hours without a drink. He never, ever goes to the MK. So, now he can. Yay.

can you only get alcohol if you have a reservation though or will there be like a cart/stand of some sort? Not that I drink..just curious.

I don't know about this limit...we dined there back on the 20th and I can tell you that the table next to us was on round 2 or 3 of drinks when we were seated and were still drinking strong when we left...and we were there for almost 2 hours.

Maybe that was just wishful thinking on the part of others that I misremembered. I can't find it now but I thought Disney had said that beer and wine was being limited to two glasses per diner.
When they sell bottles of wine, I really can't see them trying to limit a persons consumption.

Putting a limit on alcohol sales is an invitation to abuse.

Considering there are already people coming over from Epcot, it's not like there has NEVER been drunk people in the Magic Kingdom.

Also, you will have to have made a reservation 6 months in advance in order to even be able to order a drink at the Magic Kingdom.

Not that many drunks are capable of such in-depth planning.

I wouldn't look at it that way. I mean, while these people had enjoyed quite a few...they also didn't look like the town drunk either. i.e. they likely went on their way ...happy, yet non-disruptive...as the vast majority of the guests partaking in alcoholic bevs at BOG will be. I mean, even I had a couple of glasses of wine and DH had a few beers...they went nicely with our dinners and nobody we saw was stumbling around drunk. :) My point was just that you're not going to be cut off after one or two.

Only basing the comment on someone knocking them back for 2-3 hours but yes not everyone who drinks is a drunk.

Not to mention people leave the park to dine at any of the Monorail resort restaurants or have drinks before they enter the park. I myself have had a few bloody mary's or some other beverage before entering MK or leave for a nice cool break from the heat at some point during the day. This by no means I get "WASTED" as others have discussed, and at the end of the day people need to act like adults and be responsible for their actions, be respectful of others, the youngsters and the like wile in the park.
