Aladdin Ride I Wish For...

I have been thinking of the ride that WDW arrives to the show with that showcases the creativity and ingenuity that has been sorely lacking for sometime. I always thought the parks needed an E Ticket Aladdin ride, the E Ticket the Magic Kingdom is missing, but that is for another thread.

The Alladdin ride I believe would be an instant classic and the answer to HP, yes it involves the same ride technology but alas I am not an Imagineer and do not know what other ride systems would be available. That being the KUKA Arm, another idea on this would be the system ARROW used in the overhead coasters of 20-30 years ago but those had their downsides as almost all have been replaced.

The ride would take you on a Magic Carpet Ride through Agriba, with the ride system somehow incorporating the system into one where you sat in a 4-6 person ride vehicle with lap bars instead of the over head restraints to alleviate the problems accommodating patrons of different sizes. The ride would not go upside down but would reach a decent amount of speed.

The ride would incorporate advanced animatronics on the slower scenes with screens that simulate falling like that of Spider Man, with other effects controlled by the KUKA Arm. The ride would blend live sets with screen images that help with the lack of space needed to give the sense of flying through out the city, plus the track needed for that would difficult to theme and Disney-fy. This if I had my say would be perfect in Adventure land, I have no idea where or if there is even room, just my idea.

This ride would be the optimal answer to HP and lack of ride capacity to MK for another E-Ticket.

This has been an idea I had for the MK for sometime and finally decided to put it into writing and gather input from those of you who really appreciate the World like I do. Any input, questions, or general comments are welcome just sharing my idea.

Thanks all,

Well, if they decided to remove Snow Whites Adventures in Fantasyland because of the new Mine Coaster, they could plunk it in there. I feel like the space could be applicable but they would have to use more screens then actual animatronics i suppose.

I just think that Aladdin a classic Disney film and with such an interesting subject matter for a ride that could be so well done and has yet to receive any love.

I have very similar thoughts as well. It would be perfect. After riding Forbidden Journey it made me realize how Disney missed out. The KUKA arm Aladdin super headliner would have been incredible if added to AL.

I would love an Aladdin ride(Present MK Ride Excluded). One of my all time Favourite Disney movies.

So much potential with Genie Magic Carpet rides,Magical enemies. This and Wall E Are at the top of my list to get rides if I had a vote. which I don't:(

Aladdin is a great movie and would be a great ride, my only concerns are current concentration of its presence in the vicinity (at the end of philhar and the ride at Adventureland) and the amount of money already being dumped into MK, the other parks need a little love as well.
For the vicinity of MK, having one particular movie theme present that often would nearly be repetitive, considering there would be no particular area for it (like Pixar), when (lets say) Hercules, which is a Disney classic from roughly the same era, has no attraction at the moment
Besides that, great idea with good potential

Great points about the repetition, as other have said the opportunity for Disney to have made the KUKA Arm a Super Headlining Attraction on par and perhaps surpassing HP FJ is another of the aspects of the recent management moves that are a little tough to swallow but still always fun to dream about.

did imagineering ever have something like this in the works? obviously not with the FJ ride system, but something similar? a part of me thinks that before the magic carpets were installed, there were some whispers of a better flying carpet attraction, but it got nixed. possibly for the studios?
