I guess Disney's answer to Potter is... teddy bears?!?

I knew they were jealous of the Potter merch, but come on!

Disney Bear (it's supposed to be Mickey's stuffed bear) was introduced several years ago at WDW and didn't really go anywhere. There is a minor Golden Books type book with him in it, called Disney Bear - they didn't use the Duffy name.

A relaunch with Duffy would probably not amount to much. But I guess it matters how full court press they go with the marketing. It was low key last time.

Al's calling it "the next big Disney marketing push" and says to "expect a major campaign". Doesn't sound low key...

Knowing how Disney has reacted to the merch sales over at the Wizarding World, this just smells desperate.

I think Duffy's kinda cute. I wouldn't mind a little merchandise here and there in Main Street, and a little M&G I wouldn't mind. Just so long as they don't go the Pixie way and decide to create a whole land themed to it!

Yes, I thought he looked like Disney Bear! Thanks for the info!

First they challenge Wizarding World with a bunch of princesses.

Now they're challenging wands and brromsticks with a bear?

On a happier note that video from YouTube of Tokyo DisneySea puts a lot of places in WDW to shame. And that was only a 30 sec clip. DisneySea is amazing.

Why must everything Disney does have to be considered a counter to Potter?

Temporal association does not denote a causal relationship.

If we are going by this line of thinking then the new Taco Dog in Tomorrowland and the new railings at Epcot would be a counter as well.

Agreed. It does put WDW to shame. It puts every other park out there to shame. It's one of its kind. I mean the only one that can be compared to it would have to be Animal Kingdom, and that's only for theming. Disney Sea is the full package, theming, attractions, etc. Anyway, The only that can be compared to DisneySea is Disney's Animal Kingdom.

I'm hoping we get a DisneySea though.

I heard Hp just installed a new rail. jk jk

But seriously why would they announce the FLE right before Potter was completed? And why would they announce their new marketing scheme right at the end of the "Potter Summer"
