AK Villas or WL Villas?

We're taking my mom and dad to Disney for the first time next December for our daughter's 2nd birthday (I have another thread about that trip floating around!).

Anyway, we'll be staying on our DVC points and my wife and I are trying to decide if we should do a 2-bedroom villa at AK or at WL. We've stayed at AKL (not the Villas) for our honeymoon and have never been to WL.

Any thoughts?? What's better in regards to dining, location, etc. :shrug:

With a two year old, I would choose WL Villas. The boat transportation to the MK is great. Plus, you mentioned you've never stayed there...you should try it out...it is a favorite resort among many!

I have stayed at both, and love both. While I think the AKL with the animals would be amazing for a 2 yr old. I agree with the PP and say the WL is closer to MK and has a boat option, which is great for the kids.

It is also my favorite resort so I am a bit biased. But even if it wasn't the simple fact its closer to some of the parks would get my vote. Though neither is a bad choice...

How likely would it be that we'd be able to snag a 2-bedroom villa at WL for the first week of December (2011) at our 7 month window? We plan on booking at our home resort, SSR, at the 11 month window to ensure we have something.
