AK Restaurant Tournament

The following is a list of restaurants at the Animal Kingdom, vote for your favorite, then I will post the winner on April 20th. I will do this for each park, downtown disney, boardwalk, and the resorts. Once all the #1 restaurants are decided, I will create a thread so that you can vote on the #1 restuarant in WDW.

Since I've never been UNLESS I'm at AK, I consider it an AK restaurant. Since I can easily walk to & from AK, and it's adjacent to AK, I think it should remain on the list.

I think this should be included in Animal Kingdom since the Walt Disney World site lists it as one of the restaurants at Animal Kingdom.

On another note, shouldn't the following be added to the list:

Tusker House Restaurant
Pizzafari
Flame Tree Barbeque

Of course they don't pair up evenly I suppose.

Right, but my only problem is that the Rainforest Cafe is a world-wide chain of restaurants, and they are all nearly identical on the interior. Generally the same food and same exact interior theming. What's the difference between the RC at AK and the one at DD? Just the outside. One's a volcano and the other is a waterfall. Don't get me wrong though. I do like eating there occasionally and I think it's a neat place, but it isn't right to have it in a poll dedicated to Disney restaurants.

The reason I did not include the other resturants is that I am doing it on Sit-down restuarants. Disney does not consider the other restuarants sit-down places.

actually, tuskers does do a sit down thing twice a day during the peak seaons. i haven't seen this implemented yet (left in january), but i'm sure i'll experience when i'm back in may.

btw... rainforest sucks. tuskers rocks!

I understand the argument for not including Rainforest Cafe (and admit that it is a valid point) but then DTD will lose a lot of restaurants too (Planet Hollywood, Wolfgang Puck's, House of Blues, Bongos, Rainforest Cafe). These are all Disney dining "experiences" even if they are not owned by Disney. After all, Disney selected them to be there.

As for Tusker House, my understanding is that it is now a sit down, all you can eat, family style restaurant with 2 seatings a day (or something like that). It is supposed to be pretty good (I've never eaten there).
