AK Allergy Kiosk

Thoughts? I have a food allergy kid, and I find it interesting to have a kiosk of nothing but mostly safe foods for him. Anyone been? Heard any thoughts about expanding this to other parks? They didn't have this last year for our trip. Thanks!

I'd love a list of nutritional info that would let me look stuff up - even online. If they put it online, they could just do it once and enter it and be done. It's accessible to everyone, nobody has to wait for it and they'd have fewer people questioning the staff.

I know it would be a chore, though, and that very few people give a skunk's nose...so I understand why they haven't done it. :)

I used the kiosk last summer, the day it rolled out so I am not sure I can be all that great of advice. But I will say it was so helpful to have the pamphlet, which breaks down the allergen areas, and guide to what is 'safe' and what may be an issue. I also loved that they sold allergy friendly snacks that my family could enjoy without having to worry. The cookies, are always a big hit among us! Even for the non allergy guy.

Thanks for the replies. Last year, we were just avoiding wheat products for him. This year, it's all nuts and peanuts in addition to wheat. While I have the specific safe food lists from Special Diets, I'm thankful for anything I can come across that saves time for everyone and keeps him safe. Thanks for your input!
