I just found out that starting in June, Airtran will be offering flights out of Atlantic City to Orlando at half the price of airfare out of Philly. I paid $52 each way for my family of 4 for our trip to Disney in September. We were looking at $99 each way for the same days flying out of Philly for Airtran and Southwest. Yes, the AC airport is slightly farther away (Egg Harbor Twp), but we paid $500 for 4 tickets rather than $1000 ! Just wanted to pass this on.

i booked air tan in feb to orlando in aug. for two for 240.40 from phila. i live in south jersey.you can book months ahead of time with airtran and save lots of money. southwest you can only book about 3 month ahead when i checked the southwest cost after they just became avaiable air trans was cheaper.if you live closer at AC. that may be your best bet. i like leaving around seven in the morning so i can have a full day at disney.

This is great! We live near Hammonton and usually take Spirit Air to Orlando. Airtran is almost 1/2 the cost of Spirit. We love Spirit, but I think this October we may try Airtran. I think it is good they came to AC Airport. More competition to keep fares down! We also love to travel out of AC since it is a much smaller airport, no crowds, cheaper parking and less traffic in getting there!

But, when I looked about a month or so back, I didnt see any non stop flights leaving from AC? Has this changed? I booked leaving from Philly in September and it cost me about $312 round trip for 3 of us. I didn't think that price was bad at all for non stop flights.
