Going to WDW in September 2004 and wondering what bit or places around i can get into because my girlfriend will be only 20 whereas i will be 23.

What attractions have a under-21 restriction on them??

And also i have heard that some restaurants will not serve us even though we/she will probs not be drinking? And if you have any info on the Universal Citywalk and general Orlando attractions (such as Hard Rock Cafe) age limits could you also say please?

Thanks very much for all your help in advance

I've never heard of a restaurant not serving you food just because you're under 21! They won't serve you alcohol, of course.

CLUBS and bars that also serve food (but are primarily drinking establishments, even if a show or dancing takes place) might have restrictions.

Please note that smoking is now banned in ALL Florida restaurants, but is still allowed in clubs and bars. This may be where the confusion is coming from. Some "restaurants" may have reduced their menu, thereby qualifying as a nightclub/bar.

The only attractions at the resort that have age restrictions are some of the clubs at Pleasure Island and maybe JellyRolls and/or Atlantic Dance at Boards.

From Disneyworld.com:
Under 18 must be accompanied by a person 21 years of age or older who has an acceptable form of identification. Must be 21 to enter Mannequins and BET SoundStage™ Club. Valid photo ID required.

As far as getting servered alcohol... it's the same as any other bar or restaurant in the States. You must be 21 to drink. You can get served alcohol but she can't. You both can order food and non-alcoholic beverages.

Hard Rock Cafe will be no problem (other than alcohol). Citywalk most likely is 21 or over on a club by club basis.

Just remember to keep your id with you, America are sooooooo strict!!! I remember about 10 years ago I was on holiday with my parents and my mum who must of been mid 30's at the time got ID'ed!!!

Unlike good ol' Britain where if your a girl you can probably get served being 14 (Boys aren't quite so lucky!)

My last visit to WDW I hadn't long turned 21 so it was the first time I was legally allowed to drink over there, now I may of been 21 but I certainly don't look it, especially in America where teens always seem to look much older than us British, anyway I was at Sea World and decided to go visit the Budweiser beer school, of course I was told I need to be 21 to drink, so I said I was, and the woman looked so completly shocked, and really inspected my ID to make sure it wasn't fake.

I bet even now being 23 I could still pass as being 16 (I'm hoping that means when I'm 30 i'll pass as someone in their early 20's)

fyi british friends...

the latest batch of WDW cast has been rather asinine.. make sure you take your passports with you.. some won't accept picture driving licenses since WDW hasn't yet received the official documentation from the UK Gov.

Thanks :) I'll try my drivers license first and have my passport as back up (as the picture in my passport is absolutely awful!)

I find that hard to believe (the incompetance of it, not your statement), we've had the new picture licences for over 4 years now. How can Disney not have info on them?

That said, we've never had a real trouble with using our driving licences.

they do have knowledge of them, however, the only ID samples Disney keeps on file are those of US, US Territory, and Canadian Licenses, US Military IDs, and Passports.... hence why those are the only valid ones in their view. Most of the people @ P.I. are cool though and will accepts your DL, but not all. There are a few people there who get pleasure from
