Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Very Merry Christmas Party are after hours events, and they're back.
The page for the AK event still exists, so maybe they're not completely dead: https://www.disneyworld.co.uk/events-tours/animal-kingdom/animal-kingdom-after-hours/
I'd like to see more extended hours but they are labor intensive and costly so Disney needs to weigh the staffing availability and cost of running the parks longer vs the profitability of guests staying longer. Theres also time eating into maintenance and clean up when guests are staying longer. When they are not running hard ticket events like the Christmas and Halloween parties why not bring back yet another hard ticket event like Disney after hours.
These hard ticket events allow Disney to effectively charge for a second entry ticket on a given day.
We hit the AK and DHS versions….the AK were the slowest and clearly the least crowded….I believe those early versions, including the MK version, only 3 or 4 sold out….the 1st couple of nights, they were GIVING COMP TICKETS to CMs, DVC peeps and Guests at the Boardwalk and Pop…We did AK after hours in 2019 and loved it. Got to ride FoP 3x in a row with no waits! Try doing that during regular hours. I was looking forward to trying it at MK when everything stopped. I hope to get the chance someday. I might also try booking one night in a deluxe resort to use those extra hours.
I think they tended to happen more in May June time period sometimes targeting high school grads. They used to have after-hours at each park. Started in 2018 I think? So relatively new. It's what Boo-Bash was kind of modeled on. Not the same as parties. No early closing for regular park day.
So at AK, when park closed at normal time, they'd stay open for an extra 3 hours. No bells and whistles, just very limited guests and riding all the rides with super short waits.
They were really popular.
That truly was the best. We would go in, hit all the attractions and then head to Epcot for rope drop.We used to plan our days around the parks with morning and evening hours, I miss that. But my favorite in recent times were the EEMH when GE opened. 5:30am bus to enter the park at 6:30 and 2 glorious hours without almost NO ONE there, it was amazing. We have photos with the Millennium Falcon and not another human being is in the shot. You could ride all the rides before the day really even began.

I don't recall any in Fall or Winter beyond the Halloween and Christmas parties. I think the OP was talking about the events where they simply stay open well beyond the normal closing time like the 24 hour days. No, they were spring, summer, winter and fall! In 2019.
