Africa Marketplace expansion coming to Harambe at Disney's Animal Kingdom

I was wondering the same. You don't here or see much reports about this new area. We will be there from May 1st untill May 15th. I hope it's open by then.

Photo update as of Friday, April 24. Photos, left to right, taken from the Wildlife Express Train as it returns to the Harambe station. There is a new, taller fabric construction fence in place which obscures what was visible previously. There is also a new cinderblock wall between the train tracks and the Harambe Marketplace expansion, which forms a boundary to the new area. Not readily apparent in these photos, there is already theming (bulk materials for shipment) on top of this wall that further hides the train. In other words, when you are inside the Harambe Marketplace expansion, you should see a "platform" with bulk materials stacked for "shipment" as the Wildlife Express train passes behind to the station.
The base of the new cinderblock wall can be seen in this first photo.
This construction road will probably continue to be a service road into the new Harambe Expansion area, themed appropriately.

yeah they have to be close...their last permit which @danlb_2000 provided as for audio I believe

Awesome. Just in time for my June 4 arrival.
My last trip was just back in November, so I think it's all the little things that I'm most looking forward to this trip... This marketplace, large portions of the MK Hub being done, no BAH, a few big openings at Downtown Disney...

I'll be arriving June 4 as well! Haven't been back to Disney since last June so seeing all of the changes throughout WDW will add to the excitement of the trip. My friends are going to think I'm crazy haha
Oh and don't forget the new Flame Tree BBQ should be open by then too!
