:brick: Darn! I knew I should have bought a Sentinel yesterday!

Anyways, my final FINAL Encounter was Saturday night. After we rode we went for a relaxing ride on the TTA. From the TTA we could see the wait for AE. There was about 10 people waiting for the doors to open, that was it. WHY? WHY? WHY AE? CAN'T WE GET A STITCH RIDE IN THE TIMEKEEPER BUILDING? WHY!!!!

Stitch Escape! Coming 2004 to Tomorrowland.

I would just like to officially bid adieu to Alien Encounter as we now know it. It was a fun ride, and I shall be sad to see it leave. I had my last ride on it and I did not even know it would be my last, and I sadly skipped over it last vacation over Christmas because the lines were too long, haha.

SIR was one of my favorite AAs. And all the pre shows were so funny. There are so many phrases and things that they say that I want to remember, but I never can...does anyone ahve a script (from the multiple preshows), or a site??

AHHH! No more tongue in the ear, or guy screaming
"IT LOOKS LIKE MY MOTHER-IN-LAW :(

Oh well. Hello Lilo & Stich

*Sits and wonders what the ride will be like*

That would be a big NO on that one. They are lowering the height requirement and going to make it more kid friendly.

Yes I must say that SIR was definately the creepiest animatronic figure in WDW. Just thinking of him now with that voice gives me the creeps....but I really appreciated how AE did that...it was such a break from the 'pixie dust and flying dumbo' stuff...not that I didn't like that stuff at all I really love it...but I love being scared....I hope that ''Stich Escape'' is as scary if not scarier than AE.........:(

We'll miss you AE!!!

Sorry to burst the bubble but this is the whole reason for the change. To make it not scary. It could still be good but it will definately not be scary.

Well I for one will be there on the final night to give it one last standing ovation before the doors are closed for the last time. Anyone else going to be there? Yet another sad day in disney history. Oh well.. I at least hope the new show will be done right. I suppose I should give disney somewhat of a chance before the ride is actually built. :animwink:

I have to say that I will really miss SIR. He is one of the most fun audioanimatronic figures at WDW. Great scary voice inflections, also.

All I want to know is what Stitch has to do with the Future (i.e. the TOMORROW part of tomorrowland)? I haven't heard anyone be able to explain that.... Same with Buzz for that matter.

L&S the Movie takes place in the present, not the future, same with TS and TS2.... They might as well rename the area Spaceland, because it has little or nothing to do with the future or the vision of tomorrow anymore, it just has Space related character rides, Space mountain, and a bad car ride

And notice that the attractions that weren't per se space-based (CoP, Timekeeper, Dreamflight) are either gone or seasonal. The irony!

It's just so unlike the good ol' days when Tomorrowland had an airline advertisment ride, a travelogue film about modern-day America, an outdated Mars attraction, Space related character rides, Space Mountain, and a bad car ride.

Face it, Tomorrowland at WDW has never had much to do with the future or the vision of tomorrow.

"WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY??????????????????" drops to his knees and crys!!!!!!!

Why must they do this....I was fighting all thoughts of it really happening, saying it is just a rumor and they would not do this. Well I got sick of thinking that so I called up WDW today and AE will close on the 12 of october. All the CM said was it will close and a new attraction will open fall of 04:-( can someone give Skippy a good bye hug for me:-(

Also the CM said that CoP and TK are still seasonal and no word about them being open any time soon. Also she said that MF Keel boats are seasonal????? Havn't those been closed and gone for 2 years now???????

Disney, I'm very disapointed in you.....

Man, I used to like Stitch. Now I hate him more than anything in the world.

They're ruining a good attraction. What a shame

Totally agree. I used to think Stitch was a loveable character, but now when I see his face I just feel anger

Oh well AE will always be my favorite attraction and that's one thing Stitch can never take away from me. And no matter how much Disney wants us to forget AE existed, I never will. And maybe one day they will put something (ANYTHING) else in the MK aimed for the older group. But I'm not holding my breath.

We can't judge that they're ruining it. We have to wait and see.

What I am upset at is the possible loss of Skippy and X-S, not to mention originality.

Hopefully, they WILL discuss the future and keep Skippy. If they don't, one less hour to spend at the park.

Saturday-S.I.R. lights still not working, sound was bad, couldn't hear "It looks like my mother in law!" and no one was even screaming. While riding the TTA at 8:30 there was a 0 minute wait and there was only about 10 people waiting for the doors to open.

They could have at least fixed the sound and lighting. They want to make it even less scarier? Why in the world would they do that when no one is screaming in the first place!

I still find it hard to believe that AE will close in little over 2 weeks and Disney have yet to make an official announcement on it.
