whoa weird! but yeah there's enough to complain about when it comes to her...not really complain more like make fun of :lol: the woman is the fakest (is that a word? lol) person...in the talent show during our senior year they did a skit on the teachers and the girl who did the principal did a hilarious impression...she basically played a perky robot who kept saying "our students are the best students ever...sas is the best school ever ever ever ever"...oh no the robot broke! :lol:

One: To keep track of teachers. You know we all go into the profession for the $$$$$$$$$$$, and the summers off!

Two: It makes our commisioner, the one that Vermont kicked out, look good when he can say "See everyone IS achieving."

They never even admitted that there was a problem with that test. The Regents just decided that a group got to pass, others could re-take the test. My 9th grade daughter just took the January version and couldn't believe how easy it was.

I know our Physics teacher is hoping for the same this June.

I can tell you one thing, having these state tests hanging over your head, has taken most of the fun and joy out of teaching.

But....I love the $$$$$$$$$$ and the summers off. :hammer:

Well, you went into teaching for the same reason I went into nursing...the $$$$$, but I never got summers off.

Our district had one of the highest passing rates with just under 50%. My daughter is looking forward to the test in June (not!).

My friend took it last year, being an AP student. She scored a 100%. There are 3 guys in my class that last year could not have passed that if you gave them them the answers. 2 passed this time.

IMHO I think that one test shouldnt decide if you graduate HS. A guy I know took course one four times, and passed this summer. It will be a miracle if he passes this in one shot. I just hope we all pass.

Wow... Regents... awful!

Anyways... I did see Perfect Score, and have seen a few schools with advertisements for it...

I saw the movie, and the point is they all work together to steal the answers, and end up becoming good friends... And, none of them actually cheat... So, it teaches morals, in a way...

It's just like flying on the shuttle. My students think I'm crazy because I applied for the Teacher Astronaut program. The next group of astronauts that goes up are going to be the safest. NASA will make sure of that.

Your daughter will be fine in June, just as mine was in January. Commissioner Mills, et al. will have to be careful that the tests are passable and fair now due to last June's fiasco.

Tell her to relax and take her time.
