Trip Report Adventures in Disney-ing..The "it's on, off, and then on again" saga.

Howdy, folks. Hopefully, most of you know us. You've got: me, Dave, a late 30's father of 2 (for now). Then there's Amy, my wife of almost 15 years. You know her here as @Runmyhorse. Next, we have Ashley, our soon to be 16 year old daughter. Finally, there's Justin, our soon to be 15 year old son. This trip was basically planned as a birthday trip, as Amy and Ashley share February 25th as their birthday, and Justins birthday is March 6th.

Originally, we planned on a two week trip followed by attending the Dallas Walker Stalker on March 6th. That part was what Justin wanted as his birthday trip. However, the guest list didn't look that appealing and our budget had other plans. We had a room at Pop booked for this trip, as Amy insists on using Magic Hours, but that too took a hit.

So, we booked a room along 192 and had the rental car set to go. Well, some money that we had planned into the budget hit a snag and we knew we'd be tight on money. We went to pick up the rental via Alamo at the Memphis airport, and that's when feces hit the fan. On Thursday I had noticed that the confirmation email said that drivers with a TN, MS, or AR license were subject to a $150 deposit. We've always used Alamo because of their lack of a deposit hold. So I called their customer service to get confirmation of whether there was a hold or not.

They told me that there wouldn't be so I didn't plan that into the equation. So, come Friday we went to pick it up and the lady at the counter says there's a 150 dollar deposit. I tell her that the customer service says there's not supposed to be but she says it's their new policy. Well, I wasn't pleased, to say the least, but after a call to my bank and CC company, I had the funds available right there on the spot.

Let me just say that for some reason, the Alamo counter people at the Memphis airport location seem upset and have a bad attitude. Anyways, I went to get the car and we got upgraded from a standard SUV (Huyndai Santa Fe or similar) to a fully loaded Durango that was so new that they didn't even have the plates for it yet. That thing was BOSS. So, I get to the house and my wife tells me that the money that we had coming in wasn't in yet. So, our dilemma is as such: go and hope it's in by Monday or stay and just don't go.

Well, after some deliberation, we decided to be smart and not tempt fate. I called Alamo to tell then I was returning the car. They said they weren't going to charge me, as I didn't have it long and because they had mislead me about the deposit. So, back to the house it is. So, I hit the sack around 930 or so and I'm snoozing like Rip Van Winkle, when all of the sudden Amy wakes me up around 1am. The money is in.

So, I get up and get to cracking on securing another rental for a rate that isn't borderline robbery. Did I mention that the original rental was only 310 for 8 days? Not bad for a full size SUV. Well, after our little issue with Alamo, I decided that I will no longer use them or National, or Enterprise (their main brand). The cheapest I could find on 5 hours notice was a standard SUV with Avis for 384. So, I lock it in and made sure to ask about their hold policies.

We showed up at 530, their opening time, and got a Santa Fe. Unfortunately, we couldn't leave until after 12 noon, because my wife had already sold a treadmill to someone and they couldn't get there any sooner. So after rushing the preparation phase and eating and all of that jazz, we hit the road around 3pm central. Now, as some of you know(maybe, did I mention it?), Amy is pregnant again. So, the usual 12 hour drive turned into 14 or so, due to the stops.

We pulled into the hotel around 6am and I dragged my behind into the check in office. Our original booking was for Saturday and Sunday, but technically it was now Sunday so they only charged me for Sunday and no cash deposit. Sweet! We hit the beds and got a few hours of rest before heading to the parks.

First up, we went to Hollywood Studios. My main mission on this day was to meet Kylo Ren. So we headed directly to the new Launch Bay and made a bee line for Ren. It was only a 20 minute wait, but probably only took 15. Here's me and the kids with Kyle
20160221_142111.jpg

I was pretty stoked, as I don't normally do photos with characters, but this was a must. Next, we headed to see Chewy:
20160221_143846.jpeg

Pretty darn cool. We checked out the offerings around the Launch Bay, and the kids decided they wanted a few of the custom costumes. Do you hear that, Powerball officials? By that time, it was time for us to hit Toy Story for our FPs. Well, I guess it had been down that day because the FP return line was about halfway to the restrooms. After about a 15 minutes wait, we were playing. I managed to get the best of the hour, with 271k, but I'm sure it didn't last long.

After that, we headed to the GMR, since Amy can't ride thrill rides and Ashley doesn't like riding them without her mom/ride partner. I don't know about you guys, but the new narration, opening movie scenes in the queue line, and the ending movie are just terrible. Plus, our tour guide was not good. She was very monotone and she didn't pause during any of her lines. She sounded like a grade school kid reading their book report in a hurry to be done.

Oh well, it sill beats being back home or at work. Ater that we decided to head off site for some lunch and then to the MK. I think it was around 530 or so when we got to the MK and they closed at 10. Let me just say that we should have been listening all of this time when people said to avoid the parks with EMH. It was so nice at the MK. I think we only had one wait over 20 minutes, and that was for Pirates.

While we're on the subject of that, they have taken a big #2 on that attraction. No mermaid projections(jumping water instead), the ship vs fort room SUCKS now. No cannonball air or splashes and they moved Jack's hands on the dress. I did like the addition of the burning smell through the town. After that it was time for our HM fps. I'm glad I had picked those, because the standby was 50 minutes. I still love this ride, but it's time for a nice lengthy refurbishment, especially in the graveyard scene, where you can clearly see the netting.

Next, we went to the Speedway, which was an absolute blast. After that it was time for the Peoplemover, but it was down. So, we jumped on Buzz Lightyear for some galactic action. When that was done, the wife and kids headed to Astro Orbiter while I spent some time with the CoP family. I absolutely love the Carousel of Progress, and if they ever get rid of it I will be using bereavement time at my job...

After that we headed to Dumbo to watch Wishes while flying, but it was down so we headed to the Jungle Cruise. We almost had a boat to ourselves, but they waited for more passengers. Not a bad trip, but the crowd wasn't really into the corny jokes. After that we headed to the Little Mermaid, followed by another round of Haunted Mansion. When we exited that, it was 10:07, so we figured why not catch the second parade, right? Man, it was so empty that our favorite spot was wide open. Here's where it gets hilarious and weird. As the parade is coming across the bridge from the Hub to Liberty Square, some older lady pushing her grandbaby in a stroller ran into my foot. She says sorry and then excuse me as if she's trying to go past me. Let me inform you that our spot is right along the railing at the corner by the flags. So, there's a rope on our left side and the railing on the right. So I'm thinking, where in the heck do you plan on going, lady? She tells her party that they're blocked in....ok....

They stay a few minutes and then leave, at which point we're just like, ? It was so nice to watch the parade with low crowds. I sure do love me some MSEP!

We headed out and I don't think it took hut maybe 20 minutes to be in the car and on the way off property. We stopped at Walmart for some stuff and then grabbed some food at Steak and Shake to take back to the room. That's about all for yesterday. I'll try to post today's adventure when we get in, but no promises. I'll post a majority of pictures when we get home, but now I've figured out how to post them here without going through a photo site, so I'll make sure to add some here and there. Thanks for following along, folks!

Forgive me if I'm just not getting it. So everyone doesn't have to go through the detectors? It's just "random?" who they pick? but they seemingly are just picking people who walk up? yeah. this sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Yeah, they say it's random, but it's really not. We noticed a certain trend of people they were picking out, but that's a whole nother can of worms...

Wow. Glad I'm prepared for this. I am heavily tattooed. Wonder how many times i'll get "randomly" picked.

And good for your wife. If I were pregnant, there is no way they would get me through one of those.

I saw three security guards standing there and I was the first one to approach. I told the family, "I guarantee that I will be randomly selected". You guessed it, I was.

"That's two!" (I thought I'd insert your "random selection" running count dialogue here, that you forgot to mention. :p

Next up, we headed to Living with the Land. I could literally ride this thing non stop if they would let me. The opening chords as the ride begins give me chills. Anyways, it sure is strange seeing the Land pavilion so empty with Soarin being down.

I love the Land Pavilion and always have--way before Soarin ever came around (actually, I liked it better before Soarin, as it was more open and pleasant downstairs). I still like it downstairs at Sunshine Seasons, just not quite as much as before, due to increased crowds from Soarin.

Living With the Land is one of my favorite attractions too, (even though I miss the "live" CMs who used to explain everything during the ride--before they replaced those CMs with a recording throughout the ride now). The pavilion, itself, is impressive. Don't you just love the large greenhouse? The sunlight that beams through all those windows is so cheerful. And I love all the different types of plants. I remember first learning about hydroponics from visiting The Land many years ago. Lastly, if you ever get the time, they have a behind-the-scenes tour of The Land (it's call the Behind the Seeds Tour), and it's about $18 now, and it lasts around an hour. I've taken the tour about 3-4 times, and I've always found it fascinating.

So yesterday we went to the Magic Kingdom for the first half of the day. Man, the Spring Break crowd must be here already, yikes! Anyways, we saw the marching band as we made our way towards Tommorowland. The trumpet player at the end was hilarious. He was dragging himself along and making faces.
20160225_122657.jpg

We started with Buzz and hit the Peoplemover and Speedway next. It always amazes me how many people wait for your car directly in front of your exit space instead of the little line in front of the number.

We finally found a spot that has the Minute Maid Lemonade in the bottle, Amy was happy. Next we went to the Little Mermaid. It actually had a 35 minute wait, but at least it's indoors.
20160225_135905.jpg

After that we headed over to Pirates. I'm happy to report that the air shots and water splashes in the fort scene are working again! About that time we decided to head over to Epcot to kill some time before dinner, as the MK was a little too crowded for us. Here's where it get funny.

We decided to leave right as the Festival of Fantasy parade was going on. So, we got stuck right on the west side of the center island in the Town Square. As you know, there's no getting through. So, as the parade is drawing near to the end, this lady with a stroller and her party come up behind us. She taps me on the shoulder and says they're trying to get through. I told her, yeah, we all are. Either she didn't hear me or she thought I was speaking Spanish because she said the same thing to the lady on my right. That lady told her there's no getting through because of the parade. She then tosses out a few bad words and tells her party they'll go around. Yeah, good luck with that...

After making our way to Epcot, we disembarked the monorail. Surprisingly enough, I didn't get "randomly" selected. We've noticed that if they have someone already in the scanner they won't select another person until it's clear. Must be another one of those issues where it won't work properly.....anyways.....

First up was Nemo. Always enjoyable. After that was my personal favorite at Epcot, Living with the Land.
20160225_172526.jpg

After that we made our way to Imagination. Justin loves this ride, and he especially loves Figment.

Up next the family let me enjoy a few rounds of drinks at Club Cool. I love the Bibio (sp?) from South Africa. Absolutely delicious. We decided to head over to the Mexican pavilion after that and check in early since we were wanting to wait for a water side table. They said it would be about 30-40 minutes and we had no problem with that. She noted my cell number and said they would text when it was ready. We literally were in line for the Gran Fiesta Tour for 2 minutes when my text came through. So, we had to wiggle our way out of line and get over to the check in stand. Ironically enough, we got the same table we've had for the last three times we've been there.

Our waitress was great and the food was delicious as always. The waitress asked about the birthdays and she was surprised that Amy and Ashley share the same birthday. Shortly after we finished our entrees, she came back with about 6 other case members and they sang Happy Birthday en Espanol and presented them with that delicious vanilla and caramel ice cream. A great way to end their birthday dinner.

We then hopped on the ride and let the food settle. After that the girls headed to Test Track while us gents went to plan our future on Spaceship Earth. Yet again, it wouldn't pull up our photo. Oh well. By that time the girls met up with us and we took one last ride on SSE. After that it was time to hop on the monorail back to the T&TC and pick up our car.
20160225_203648.jpg

We headed to Walmart for some birthday cupcakes and snacks and then to McDonald's for a couple of things. Before we hit the sack, my mom called because she heard there was a tornado in Florida. My mom is such a worrier but it's sweet. Anyways, she also wanted to wish them a happy birthday so that was nice. After that it was bedtime and that's something I don't play around with. I'm usually out within 2 minutes.

Thanks for reading and go easy on my photos, they're being taken with a Note 2 and I just figured out how to use certain settings for each shot. Have a Magical day!

So, our plan for yesterday was to sleep in, grab a bite, and then head to Animal Kingdom for the first half of the day. Sleep in, check! Grab a bite to eat, check! Head to Animal Kingdom, check! Man, did I mention that the Spring Break crowds are here? I forgot that northeastern folks are here now.

I hope nobody here gets offended, but some folks from Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York are really rude and self centered. I'm talking about the average Joe from there. I lived in PA for 3 years, so it's really not a surprise for me, but their behavior down here is embarrassing. I know that my fellow Magic'ers from up there aren't part of the problem....anyways.

So, of course we arrived late, roughly around 11:30 or so, and I couldn't believe there wasn't a single FP for the Safari. Not a one. We've been during cheer week in March as well as right after Easter in April last year and didn't have a problem grabbing FPs for it during mid day. So, we headed to Rafiki's planet watch. During the ride over, the fellow mentioned that the Safari had a 2 hour wait. He wasn't exaggerating. Did I also mention that this was the "green" park according to the Crowd Calendar? Yikes!

20160226_122253.jpg

We checked out the little animal presentation show and the guy was displaying a hedgehog. After that a young lady brought out Tubs the goat. They were in the process of training him to follow commands, so that was pretty neat. That was actually the first time we watched that show after 12 trips in 8 years. It's nice to check out the things we usually skip.

We headed back to Africa after a 15 minute delay on the other train. The guy doing the spiel on the way back was pretty funny and kept us entertained. We headed to catch a show at It's Tough to be a Bug. We showed up right as they were opening the doors, score! It was a packed show and the reactions were great. Plenty of crying and screams during the spider scene. Well done, Imagineers!

Next up, we headed over to Dinosaur while Amy waited for us in the gift shop. I really hate having to leave her out of rides, especially given that she's the thrill junkie. After about a 20 minute wait, we took our prehistoric trip to bring back one extra passenger, extra large. Luckily for us, we made it just before the asteroid hit. I guess Dr. Seeker was right.

Before heading out, I wanted to end that park by doing something all of us could do, so we went on the Triceratops Spin. I know that Dinoland is corny and carnival'ish, but I enjoy that banjo music on this ride.
20160226_143418.jpg

We headed towards the exit after that. We were a smidge hungry, so we decided to head to Target to grab some snacks before going to the Magic Kingdom. Thirty minutes later and a fistful of dollars lighter, we were pulling into the T&TC parking lot. It didn't appear to be too bad, as we were only parked halfway back in Scar, and this was around 2pm.

Much to our surprise, the Express monorail was actually running. Not only that, but there wasn't a glob of people waiting for it. We actually had an entire car to ourselves, we were shocked. However, this seemed to have been foreshadowing for what was going to happen at closing. Anyways, check this out:
20160226_163139.jpg

First up, we headed to Buzz. I like our new system. We start in Tommorowland and just work our way around. No more pinballing around the park. It seemed to be a regular semi busy day, as most waits were around 30 minutes. You really have to work to max out on Buzz now, especially on the right side.
20160226_170422.jpg

Up next was the Peoplemover and then the Speedway. I think after those I went and made FP selections. And since I had canceled that days picks, I got to choose three new ones. I picked Haunted Mansion, Pirates, and Jungle Cruise. They were set for 8pm and later, so that was ok. We trekked over to Little Mermaid and it's funny how the empty outdoors queue part of the line can trick you into a false sense of a low wait time. As soon as we got to the indoors part the queue actually used the circle part with the treasure chest in it. Been a while since I've seen that used. I think we waited about 25 minutes. Not too bad.

Around 6:45, we were hungry so we dared to enter Pinocchio Village Haus. Man oh man was it crowded. The only thing I hate about this place is the stooges that don't understand that you can't stand side by side in the lines because it blocks in the people trying to come out with their food. Luckily, we managed to snag a table by the stairs as a family was leaving it. I know some of you folks don't care for their offerings, but I don't mind their pizza at all. I guess it doesn't hurt that I was pretty hungry either.

Up next, we took a cruise around the world on IASW. I like this ride, as it's very relaxing, especially after having just eaten. When we got off of our boat it was a few minutes before 8. Just enough time to make it across into Adventureland before the parade started.
20160226_184123.jpg

We were a little early for our Pirates FP, so we went through the short standby line. Up next, they rode the Aladdin carpets while I waited. After that we checked out the Swiss Family Treehouse. It's been a while since we explored it. Great views at night.
20160226_203744.jpg

We went back to Pirates to use our FPs. I'm so glad that they fixed the air and splashes. Also, it seems like row 3 is now the row that gets the most water on the drop. Mi gusta!

Up next, we went to the Shooting Gallery while people were occupied with Wishes. We always have a blast with that. After that we headed to the Jungle Cruise. It was a good trip, but our skipper had a cold.

After that was headed over to Buzz and the crowds had seemingly emptied out, as Buzz was 5 minutes. When that was done, they went on Astro Orbiter while I caught a showing of CoP, since the annoying dance party was over. I'd stay in there all day if I could.

By that time it was almost closing so we trotted over to the Haunted Mansion and it was only us and one other group. We made our way towards the exit in hopes of a relatively easy exit via monorail.

Nope, didn't happen. On a Friday night, BOTH monorails were down. Well, the herds of people exiting made their way to the ferry dock. We were in the front of the mass waiting for the boat. When the guy opened the gate, the madness began. What really ticked me off was that the group of foreigners next to us squirmed their way between us and the men were literally squishing my son up against the railing. He was pushing back but they were bigger.

This is what flicked my switch and I Hulked my way through them. They looked at me and I glared back at them and I have to admit that I said a few things that I can't repeat here. There was also this guy with his stroller that had run up my son's leg and didn't even say sorry or anything. He did the same thing to another guy. Well, as I was walking towards to front of the boat, he got about 2 inches from me and I basically told him that if he touched me I was going to throw him and the stroller into the water.

Please don't get the wrong idea about me, folks. I'm very easy going and I do not like confrontation. However, when it comes to my family I am very protective and I don't care how big they are or how many there are, I go into protection mode. Honestly, I blame Disney for situations like that. Seriously, a Friday night and both monorails are down? They were running after park close all week and now they're down? At least have busses going to the T&TC for Pete's sake!

And just when we thought the worst was over.....well, we went to the Taco Bell down by the Walmart on 192. No problem. That brings us to the McDonald's right across from Old Town. Have I mentioned how slow they are? Get this, we waited 30 minutes in the drive thru for 4 sweet teas and a small fry. It literally took 15 minutes just to get to the order speaker. And there was only a total of 7 cars in line. Oh, and the best part? They didn't even get the drinks right. They gave us 3 cokes and an UNsweet tea.

To say that Amy was ticked would be an understatement. An unhappy pregnant woman is a dangerous thing. But it was going on 12:45 in the morning and she just wanted to go eat and to bed. So we went to the room, ate, and then snoozed. Seriously, that is the worst McDonald's on the planet. They are so slow and mess up so much it's ridiculous.

As usual, thanks for following along and reading. It's a little after 11 and we're about to get our last day under way. Have a great day and I'll post today's adventures in the morning!

Sadly, our last night is over. After sleeping in and getting some lunch, we made our way to the T&TC parking lot. We were alllll the way back in Rapunzel, about 4 rows from the edge of the parking lot. Yeah, that means it's going to be a busy day. Oh well, our plan is to jump to Epcot and avoid some of the crowd.

It worked pretty well. It was semi crowded at Epcot, but absolutely manageable. First up was Spaceship Earth, of course. It's always a hoot to make funny faces for the photo. Next, we headed to Nemo. I'm not used to seeing a line for this but it went pretty quickly. We always enjoy checking out the other fish and creatures in the building. Except for you, Mr. Horseshoe Crab, you're creepy.

20160227_132829.jpg

After that we headed to Living with the Land. I had set up new Fastpasses on the monorail over, so we used our first set on this. Pretty glad we did, because we got on the first boat and it was just us and another family in it. Take that, queue waiters!
20160227_135959.jpg

Next was Imagination. Justin always enjoys this, and again, we love seeing people's reaction to the smell and air blast. We were going to check out the stupid Pixar thing but it was a 20 minute wait for the next show. Can you tell that I'm bitter about them taking out EO? Sha'mon!!

Next, the kids wanted to check out the Japanese gift shop again, so we hoofed it on over there. I love that pavilion. So beautiful and tranquil. And for the first time, we walked the little path that goes around the back, by the Katsura (sp?) Grill. I love Koi fish and the Japanese "garden" setup. If we ever hit the lotto I will build something like that at my mansion. So peaceful....

So we made our way over to the Mexican pavilion to help find that rascal, Donald. I realize that it was still technically lunch, but there were 6 water side tables open at the San Angel Inn and it took all of my willpower to not break our budget and go back there for another meal.

After that we decided to take another spin on Spaceship Earth before heading over to the Magic Kingdom. The only bad thing is that even though I could see our photo in the list to send to our email, when I selected it it would say it couldn't be found. Um, ok. Goodbye, Spaceship Earth.
20160227_160920.jpg

We made our way to the monorail and cruised on over to the Magic Kingdom. It was around 4:45 at this point and they were open until midnight. So, we had a good 7 hours left, which was good considering how crowded it was. The first thing we did was head to Gaston's Tavern to get a warm cinnamon roll for Amy and the kids. Did someone order a helping of Disney magic? Yes, we did! Thank you, Bob, for letting us know that the cinnamon roll was on Mickey Mouse!

After they washed that down with their lemonade, I started my search for fudge and made my way to the Circus tent. A few bucks lighter and a few minutes later, I was sinking my teeth into my beloved fudge. I had been looking for it every day in the MK, but either I didn't see it or I'd forget. Is it just me or is fudge only in the Circus tent now?

After that we started our loop in Tommorowland. Buzz had a line long enough that it required a CM with a flag to show the end, but it moved rather quickly. The Peoplemover was down when we exited Buzz, so we headed over to the Speedway. It wasnt quite sunset yet, so it gave me a chance to try some new settings on my phone. Be gentle with me guys, I'm far from being a pro like Tom Bricker and some others on here.
20160227_184319.jpg

We made our way over to Pirates after that. It was listed at 35 minutes, but it was probably only 20. We got row 4 this time. Row 4 seems to get wetter than row 3 and that's alright with me! Next up was to loop around Tommorowland again. We got in line for Buzz and that's when it happened. The guy in front of us started using his vapor thing. My son has mild asthma and I just can't stand the smell. I don't know what flavor he was using, but it smelled like a cigar. I flagged down a lead and asked him to speak to the guy. The guy had already put it back in his pocket but the lead spoke with him about it. He acted like he didn't know what he was talking about and looked around to see who had "snitched" on him.

The whole time I'm staring right at him. I guess he never figured it out, but my daughter said she heard him asking his teenaged son who would have said anything. It was me, you big dummy. Seriously, I cannot stand smoke or vapor or guys like him that don't respect other people in line. You really can't wait 30 minutes to go to the smoking area? I hope they start banning these things soon, because I see way too many people sneaking puffs around the parks. Sorry to those who use them responsibly.

20160227_231757.jpg

We had been maxing out but I finally decided to get my Galactic Hero button. Up next, we took a bounce with Tigger and Pooh. Amy loves Eeyore because he always looks so sad.

From there we headed to the Jungle Cruise. We had a decent skipper, but Amy's back was hurting her so we took it easy for a bit after that. We took another cruise on Pirates and then headed back to Tommorowland. After another space trip with Buzz, we hopped aboard the Peoplemover. It's one of my personal favorites and so relaxing.

Up next was the Teacups while I sat it out. I don't like wild spinning. I rode the DL cups with my mom and step sister when I was a kid and after that I won't step foot on them. Amy and the kids took it easy in theirs, as to not upset the baby, but they enjoyed it. Luckily for us, it was open on our last night.
20160227_213217.jpg

It was getting close to closing time, so we rode the Speedway before making our way to the Haunted Mansion. I had made a mission statement halfway through the trip that I would be the last rider on the HM on our last night. When I set goals I intend to meet them.

So, we got to the HM about 10 minutes early, so we perused in the gift shop. About 2 minutes til closing we entered the queue. Well, at the very front there was some dude and his girlfriend. He was fidgeting around with his camera and talking to the butlers at the entrance. I already knew his game and I was up for the challenge. We already had to take it easy with Amy's back bothering her, so we got passed by a handful of people. They all went through the gate side, while I lingered at the busts in the interactive line, taking photos.

About 30 seconds later, I heard the trainer butler telling the others that they "have to walk the line, waiting for the guests to finish going through". I looked back and asked him if they were it and he said yes. I said cool, just making sure. So we made our way to the front door and after a little herding, the wrangler everyone into the stretching room. The guy with the camera was there and he tried his best to linger behind. I just stood there and slowly but surely his girlfriend made him go. He even tried "taking photos" of the paintings in the funnel room before boarding, but I stood back. As a last ditch effort, they stopped at the trash can at the first turn in the narrow part before boarding. She told us to go ahead, as Amy and Ashley were already boarding. I told them, no thanks, I'm good.

She told her boyfriend to come on and I could tell they were upset. Too bad so sad. Like Cam Newton, I'm a sore loser and I had no intentions on not being the last rider. I win.

After we exited, I tried to grab a few decent photos of an empty Liberty Square.

We made our way to the monorail, which was surprisingly running. We only had to wait for one before getting on. It tickles me when people will try to walk up and cut in front of us and other people that have been standing there for a bit. Nope, not on my watch. As luck would have it, there was a fresh, empty tram pulling up as we got in line. We'll take it!

Ten minutes later, we're getting in the car. Did I mention how cold it was the last 4 nights? Lows were in the low to mid 40s. Mind you, it didn't bother me but Amy and the kids were freezing. I wish it were this cold in September, I hate sweating.

Anyways, we were starving so we made our way to McDonald's, but surely not the slow one by Old Town. We went to the one on the west side of 192, across from the wizard gift shop. We pulled up and there was a line of 5 cars, all waiting on the left side. So, like a boss, I passed into the right side and I had ordered and moved up before their first car moved an inch. Haha, tourists....

It was pretty funny because the lady working the first window said we looked familiar and that we had been there before. I said yep, back in September. She said yeah, you were Troy Polamalu. Nice to come across someone that can remember one tourist.

Anyways, we hurried to the room, gobbled our food and were asleep before 2 am.

So here I sit at 9am, waiting for these bums to get up so we can check out and hit the road. Once we get home, I'll upload the majority of the photos that I didn't have time to post yet. I want to thank you all for reading, commenting, liking, and listening to my grips and all of that. Here's to another Magical day and we'll be back in 3 months!!

Wow. You managed to pack in a good number of attractions, despite the spring break crowds now. And Amy has amazing stamina (in her present condition) to keep up with you and the children. :) She was a good sport to wait out the thrill rides while the rest of you could go on. I love the thrill rides, myself, so I realize this must have been tough for her.

There was also this guy with his stroller that had run up my son's leg and didn't even say sorry or anything. He did the same thing to another guy. Well, as I was walking towards to front of the boat, he got about 2 inches from me and I basically told him that if he touched me I was going to throw him and the stroller into the water.

You cracked me up with your comment above. That man was rude to not, at least say, excuse me, when he brushed your son's leg with the stroller. Reminds me of a time when a guy was (aggressively) pushing his mother in a wheelchair through a crowd of people, because he was ticked off that he couldn't move quicker. He came up behind me and her metal foot plates (from the wheelchair) rammed into the back of my ankles. I glared directly at him and he could have cared less, as he continued to barrel through the crowd. I wanted to scream at him, but held back as there were so many young children with families, and I chose not to make a "scene" but man, I really wanted to give him a piece of my mind.

I'm happy that your family had a fun trip, despite a few hiccups along the way. Thank you for sharing your photos and your informative (and often, amusing!! :joyfull: ) commentary as well. Hope you all have a safe trip home.
