The clubs are indeed slammed now, but before the closure was announced it was a rare time that they were busy at all, let alone doing brisk business. Another large problem with PI is that even when it WAS busy, it was primarily locals, who don't drink much (if at all), and CMs who got in for free. It's just their time to ride off into the sunset. 19 years is a heck of a good run for a nightclub, there aren't many of them that last even half that long.

All Disney had to do was invest a little money in the area, promote it, sell special merchandise and guests would come. They chose the cheap way by closing it and renting the land to 3rd parties.

Also, as a CM, I would have gladly paid to get in (or buy a PI annual pass), but Disney decided that we should get in free. Would you pay to get in if you got free admission?

Wow, I'm in this photo as well, this was taken right before the xmas show. And I agree it was jammed that night. You could only get about 2/3 of the crowd in the library, so you had to alternate and could only see every other show. The crowd was starting to get frustrated as some people were trying to jam themselves towards the library entry doors so they could get into every show. Even with all that "fun", we're still planning on going back Saturday for the final night.

Not to burst anyones bubble but I was at a DTD meeting just a few days ago and they confirmed that all the clubs would be closing on the 27th, including AC. It wasn't exactly a super duper important meeting of CEO's or anything but none the less they did reiterate the fact that each club was closing.

Interesting, This afternoon I was listening to the Phillips Phile on 104.1 in Orlando. They did a quick news story about PI closing (30 seconds) and said the comedy club and the other places with actors was not closing. Granted they could be completely wrong, I was just wondering if something had happend recently and disney changed there minds.

I'm not sure but I think the phillps phile is still rebroadcasted on XM 152 from 7pm to 11pm.

Just out of curiousity, different in substance or just in wording? If substance, what was different?

I worked for research once upon a time (4 years back) and those questions seem like I've asked them a few times before.... Wording would have been slightly different (semantics) but overall, its the same, usual survey.
