Planning on going to Pleasure Island on the next trip...

With the Adventurer's Club is the show continuous over the whole night or repeated at different sitting times?

Also, is the Comedy Club usually decent?

First off, the Comedy Club is always FANTASTIC. I am amazed at how talented that cast is. I have seen up to 3 shows in one night, and never heard the same joke or anything. They are an amazing group of improv comedians, no doubt. It is a MUST SEE for any Disney trip. A note -- later evening shows get a little more wacky, with the kids going to bed... and Thursday is a big cast member night... so there's even more insanity.

Adventurer's Club has 3 rooms. The mask room, treasure room, and library. The library is a cabaret room that has different shows throughout the night. The schedule is posted at the library door. The mask room and teasure room are side room off of the main hall that are used for little comedy bits to keep the crowd that is waiting entertained. The mask room is something else! I won't ruin the surprised, but watch out!

The main hall features a number of cast members in full costume and character who will ham is up with you to no end. There is an induction ceremony into the club before the library show, which is a blast.

If you hit these two clubs, you've hit 99.9% of what makes pleasure island fun! Enjoy:sohappy:

A must DO!!!!!! I have planned my trips around the AC at times. I have been more times then I can count and yes they do the same storyline everynight but it is like seeing a good play it changes each time. I have been wiht a few diffrent groups and have found there are 2 types of people the ones that LOVE it and the ones that HATE it. You have to go and give it a few hours, if you walk in and sit for 20 minutes you wont get anything out of it. Get into it when you go into the library try to sit close to the stage....not that they wont find you anywhere you sit, but up close is more fun.

Don't forget

Don't forget the presentations in the main room such as the new member inductions, singing the club song, Colonel Critchlow Suchbench, and Babylonia.

Different shows/happenings throughout the night in different places. If nothing seems to be happening just wait a few minutes. It will.

Some of the funniest things I've seen was one-on-one interaction between CMs and guests between the shows.

Never been to the Adventure Club, but the Comedy Warehouse is pretty good. Funny, but not that long.

Short shows are to accomodate a number of audiences throughout the night, as well as work with the nature of improv. It can get bad if extended too long.

I absolutely love the AC. We make sure we spend at least one whole night there every trip. For some reason, we get singled out by the cast repeatedly every time we go. On our most recent trip, my brother and his girlfriend accompanied me & my fiancee. It was their first trip to WDW (and he was 28-can you believe it?). The AC completely blew their minds, from the cast members and the talking wall decor to the sinking bar stools. At one point we stayed in the lobby while most of the people went into one of the rooms for a show. My brother was flabbergasted when he & I came out of the men's room and found Hathaway Brown at the bar trying to pick up the girls. I remember him saying to my fiancee as he was staring at her chest "Oh, so you're a teacher, huh? Why don't we get together when you have no class?". Funny stuff even though the line was lifted from Rodney Dangerfield.

I may be in the minority, but on the same trip, we tried CW twice, and didn't like it. First of all, we came to PI to drink, and the poor waitress was in the weeds so it was tough to get a drink. So we left & went to AC. The next time we checked out a show, it just wasn't funny. The cast asked a guy in the audience some questions about himself then made up a song about him. I still remember the first line "Bob is here with his wife Kris, & he works at a bank". Not Funny. Next they did a story with each cast member contributing a line in quick succession. If a cast member hesitated or stuttered, they were eliminated. This wasn't too bad. I also remember them humiliating a heckler. That was the funniest part of the show. I don't remember what else the show consisted of, but we left disappointed because we had heard nothing but good things.

Thanks All

Appreciate all the info. I will definitely schedule the time in and schedule nap time so my wife will stay up past 10. :snore:

May make it two evenings. She likes improv and general comedy club material, but it sound like you can go in and out there fairly easily. Thursday night for CM's, sounds interesting.

AC sounds like you need to dedicate a few hours at least to get the effect. Sounds much more complicated than park shows...I was just concerned about having it like some TV shows, where if you miss the first episode, you are lost in trying to enjoy later ones.

Not at all! The charm of AC is that you can enter at any moment and the CM's will work you into the mix. It's a blast for even a short time, but you'll want to stay longer! Unlike the CW, fun can be had between shows.
