Adventureland sign gone?

Wait, just because there are some signage changes means that Adventureland has been downgraded?

What.
Well, there was one signage change, and one signage removal.

Removals tend to be downgrades automatically, because they are replaced with nothing. The removed sign was a popular photo-op area for many, including myself. Of course, there were 2 signs in that general vicinity, the other being the large one over the bridge. Still, the removed sign, though I cannot attest to its pedigree, seemed to be original in design, construction, and spirit, to the original signs of the park.

The signage change happened so as to better "brand" and identify Adventureland. Caribbean Plaza was unique in that, while part of Adventureland, it was a separate mini-land, like Dino-Rama. Whereas Dino-Rama was positioned deep within the confines of DinoLand USA, Caribbean Plaza marked a transitional area at the border of Adventureland, using a Spanish architecture motif to meld Frontierland into a tropical Caribbean outpost. All the land, and all its attractions, and all its infrastructure remain, save the signage giving this corner of the park its own name. And name is identity. That's why it's kind of a downgrade.
