So how adventurous are you when you sit down and look at the menu. Are you the "I'll just have the usual" or do you pick something you've never had before. Me personally will stick to something I know iam going to like unless there is something on the menu that has been raved about, like their signature dish. I remember trying Jikos fillet with mac & cheese because I just couldnt get my head round how this dish could work.Wow! My jaw dropped at every bite.So my question tonight is " are you adventurous or not " and if you are, what dish blew you away and why ?:slurp:

I would try ANYTHING (literally blindfold me and I'll just point to something on the menu) but unfortunately my food allergies make it appear that I'm a picky eater. I usually end up having to play it on the safe side.

I will try just about anything once...even if I'm not 100% on what it is. HOWEVER, if I'm someplace and there's an item on the menu that I LOVE- especially if it's something I can't get all the time, I might consider going for that just to feed a craving.

I am not a fan of seafood. However, I am always trying to find something unique or 'new' to try when I go out to eat. I'm not going to say I'm a daredevil - but, I just find eating the same thing over-and-over to be boring. Plus, you never know when you'll find your new favorite (unless you keep trying new things everytime).

I am a bit of a foodie and am always willing to try something new. Of course, with the restaurants I frequent here at home I have my favorite dishes that I order more often then not (and usually regret not ordering when I get something else). When it comes to eating at WDW, I don't think I have ordered the same dish twice at any restaurant. That is partially because we eat at a lot of Signatures and the menus, while similar, are usually never exactly the same from visit to visit.

So far I think I have been blown away most by the Chef's Wine Tasting Dinner at Flying Fish and the Wanyama Safari meal at Jiko. All the different flavors of each dish at the Wine Tasting Dinner was fantastic. The Wanyama Safari dinner still serves the filet with the mac n' cheese (that is just 1 of the 3 entrees you get, plus 3 appitizers, 3 desserts, bread service and wine pairings), and I would totally bathe in that mac n' cheese if I could.

I try to do both. For example, i might try a new app but get my favorite entree. But I tend to be a "picky" eater - although I am trying to expand. But I tend to eat the same sorts of things. :slurp:

I think I'm about middle of the road. There are a lot of flavors and textures that I dislike, but I can't think of anything that would ruin a meal for me. I try to look at the whole menu and not exclude any dish just because there's an element that isn't one of my favorites. I certainly don't exclude dishes because they're unfamiliar. I have definitely ordered things before without fully knowing how they'll taste or even what they are. Mostly I just try to find the thing that sounds best to me at the time. Sometimes it's something I've never tried before. Often the meals that are most disappointing are the more familiar ones, especially if I expect them to taste a certain way and they don't.

i love eating new things...although these days its getting harder to find something i havent already tried. I guess the craziest thing ive eaten is live baby octopus at a korean restaurant in flushing queens.

When we go to restaurants at home I'm pretty much - give me the meal I know and am happy with. At Disney I am more adventuresome and have shocked my wife by trying something way outside the box. I have taken the CM waitstaffs advice on what they recommend/think is good. I would say that the majority of the times I go away happy, but there have been a few meals I was sorry I tried. Certainly looking and reading food reviews on various disney sites also have perked my interest and made me think more about trying something.
