Advanced sales price GONE for select dates of Christmas and Halloween parties

Looks like the Halloween and Christmas parties are very popular this year. The advance sales prices are no longer available for certain dates. This does not mean the dates are sold out, this just means that the full gate price applies for anyone booking these dates forward.

The dates that no longer offer advance purchase savings are below (this also includes dates that didn't have it and are not sold out yet):

Not-So-Scary: 10/8
, 10/22, 10/28, 10/29, and 10/31

Very Merry Christmas:
12/7, 12/10, 12/12, 12/17, 12/19

This means if you haven't booked your tickets yet, I would seriously think about it. Most of these dates are getting close to sellout, especially the ones near their respective holiday.

I could be totally wrong here, but I didn't think those dates ever had a cheaper price. If I recall, last year there were a few dates that only had the full price option. But if you are right and some dates are already sold out for the advance price, good thing we're going on Dec 16th. I better order our tickets soon just in case. Thanks for the heads up!

*shudder* We went to one Christmas Party that was sold out and it was HORRIBLE. Worst crowds we had all week by an order of magnitude. The parade was great but they have taken so much away I don't know if we are going to bother this year...

Hmmmm ... I think you might be right. Maybe the person I was talking to was mistaken in the original dates that didn't have the APS.

Even so, I did call directly myself to check on availability and the person I talked to said some dates (the ones close fo the holidays) were getting up there in sales and may sell out soon. Of course they could be using that as a sales tactic :p

Me, too! The sardine feeling took away from the experience.

They need more dates!

I guess I don't understand why DW doesn't provide more parties considering the popularity of them. It sucks to be crammed in while trying to enjoy yourself and its really mayhem when they are sold out. They need to provide more parties, therefore more dates, and decrease the limit for party attendance. IMHO!

I would say yes on less numbers of tickets sold but no on more parties. Each night a party is held it shuts the park down to day guests early. That has a bummer-factor in itself. :animwink:

We've done the party the last few vists and the crowds seemed pretty good, but again we usually go on a weekday. But for the most part, I've only had good experiences with MVMCP

We've attended the MVMCP the last few years and definitely have better luck with crowds on dates well before the actual holiday. Dec. 19, 2008 we bought last minute party tickets; it was a bit snug in the park during the party- but so were the parks all day long. The week after Thanksgiving was perfect. We also saw a huge drop in the crowd levels later in the evening. Rode Space Mtn and Snow White countless times without even getting off the ride. Very cool to have no one waiting in the lines at all.

Our 1 & only MVMCP was Tues. Dec. 4, 2007. The event was sold out & it was pretty miserable. All character meets were an hour + wait. Santa was more like 2 hours. Being on Main Street at all was reminiscent of being stuck in the post Wishes herd. It was hard to enjoy. We left early.
