Applied and did phone interview twice (applied twice only one phone interview). Unfortunately they were really popular AI's so I didn't get either of them... it stunk! lol

Hey I'm applying for an advanced internship in animal behavior, im going to a presentation on March 17th. I am soooo excited! I don't know if this is a high demand position or not but I am sure it is very competitive so I have my figers crossed!! What are you applying for?

I just got off the phone with the interviewer and everything is very straight forward... Strengths/weaknesses, how to solve a problem without directions... and I forget if there was anything else. But you must realize that the interview time that you signed up for is in Florida's Eastern time zone, so the actaul interview will take place at that time Eastern and is different if you live in, say for instance the Central time zone, it would be 12:40 instead of Florida's 1:40!! Does that make sense? So let me know if you have anymore questions. I applied for the Animal Programs Chemistry AI and I really hope that they at least consider my application... so here's to hoping:hurl:

I did a phone interview back in 2001 for the Animal Presneter Intership. It was very to the point and I got hired. I am also a campus rep and can answer any questions you all have about the advanced internship process. Good luck to you all!

Hi! So you were hired in DAK? I am applying for the Spring 05 for the Animal Behavior internship there. Do you know if they take only 1 intern or is it a couple? I really have no idea how competative this position is but I am sure it is difficult to get. What should I be prepared for in the interviews? Any info would be great, thank you!!

I got asked what my strengths and weaknesses were, how i would go about solving a problem without directions, from personal experience a group that work well together and why i thought it did, what a good communicator does, and i forgot the last one.

I know that there was 5 questions. And now my interview answers and paperwork are going to the deployment hiring group and they will decide if they want to give me a second interview or not. So right now I am waiting to find out. And waiting is the harderst part. Luckily I have a trip to disney to break up my waiting. :) Nine more days and I will be at pop century!! :sohappy:

Sounds like that's the standard interview. I got the exact same questions about a week ago. Also currently in waiting mode...

I'm actually not holding out a ton of optimism at this point. I wasn't at the top of my game for the phone interview and I haven't been asked for a follow-up yet.

How about you? Did they call you a second time?

Hey guys, I had my first interview today and I am already sick of waiting! The man said I should know by May but I thought I was going to have to wait for June 11th so I guess that is a plus. Do they always ask for second interviews? I have no idea what to think, I wish I knew what the competition was ya know? Good luck to ya all!

Hi, shelecky,

No, not everyone gets a follow-up interview. If they call you back, it means they were impressed with your paperwork and/or your first interview and would like some more info about you. It's a pretty good sign, but still not a sure thing. These things are wicked competitive.

I have not had a second interview yet. And it has been almost 3 weeks since my last interview. I was told by my recuirter that some departments do not do second interviews. I believe management ones do, but she was not sure about mine. Either way I am moving there June 1st. I would just like to have a job before I go down, and not have to go find one when I get there.
