DD4 did it this past trip and she loved it, but part of me wants to try it myself. I know adults can do it...hey it says 3 and up and I'm certainly over 3 :lol: Plus I think it might be fun to do a mommy/daughter BBB session...and I love the idea of going around w/glittery hair and a tiara all day. :lookaroun:ROFLOL:

My question...have any of the adults on here done it? And if so, how did the whole "princessification" process feel as an adult?

My sister-in-law went to BBB with her two oldest girls. She loved it! She had actually been looking forward to this for awhile and planned a trip for her middle daughter's 3rd birthday so she could go with the girls. Her hair was done up just like the girls, and she kept it in all day. She said it was a fun experience for herself and a good bonding experience with the girls.

Last time we went to Disney, we saw a woman that had obviously done the BBB w/ her daughter. I have to say I thought it looked tacky to say the least and she seemed to get quite a few double takes and eye rolls. To each their own but I personally wouldn't do it.

My DD 6 just asked me to do BBB with her our next trip, it was super cute of her to ask but I just don't think I could do it. They should come up with a lighter mom version for us. My daughter and I have gone for pedicures together at the spa at GF our past two trips and that is an awesome mother daughter experience. Especially for your tired, burning Disney feet!

if you're on the fence you can get the cute little tiara on main street mk and i can personally tell you they stand up to riding space mountain, thunder mountain etc...

Yup- definitely not something for everyone. From the adult side, I compare it to walking around in a really ornate pair of mouse ears or one of the massive Goofy or Buzz Lightyear hats. i.e. just a princess way of getting in the spirit of things. I'm sure people might give me some looks, but that's fine.

I think you can request they not do certain things b/c I know some people whose kids skipped certain aspects that were included in the pkgs. i.e. hair or makeup matters. What's funny- I'm kind of the other way around. Some of my friends want to help me pick out a large rhinestone tiara since they don't think the tiara come supplied is enough. I hate to say it- but I kind of agree. :ROFLOL: The pedi idea is a good one though. I'm wondering if they'd also let DD2 participate.

That's good to know. Even if we skip this altogether...DD4s tiara comb from her first visit is now missing a stone. In fact, I think that stone fell out just days after the trip. I offered to get her a new one like her sister's from a wedding accessory shop, but she wants another pink and clear one just like her original. So, I may cave if she brings it up. Thanks! :wave:

My middle daughter insisted on doing it for her 17th birthday last year and she had a great time. There was also a group of ladies in there that were in their 60's. You of course can't get the costumes but if you want to do it go for it.

My little princess was 4 for her first Disney pedi. It was so cute, she LOVED being pampered. You could call and see if your 2 year old could come along and just get her toes painted. I'm sure they'd do that. It is fabulous really, I recommend it. They get to keep the bottle of polish, my daughter was sure to pick a color to match her dress each time. Very nice relaxing time with my sweet girl.
I hope I didn't come across as talking you out of BBB. I think it's a sweet idea too. And I'm sure you could kind of customize your look as you went along. I just think it would be a cool idea to have something special for us more mature princesses to pick. It would encourage the experience and could definitely be fun!!

I say go for it too! Where else can you do something like that? I love doing stuff that's not the ordinary and showing my daughter to live your life to the fullest! My problem is my daughter's at the age where everything embarrasses her....lol.

My daughter went to the BBB last year...she was 5...and her uncle and aunt decided at the last moment to get a makeover as well. My daughter got the whole princess pkg, her aunt got her hair done (a really funky/colorful thing ) and her uncle got his hair colored and sprinkled with confetti. I took pics the whole time the 3 of them were in the chairs and we all laughed and had alot of fun!

congratulations on your anniversary...that's a great accomplishment! don't forget your anniversary pin along with your tiara lol. i used a bobby pin to keep my tiara in place but my sister didn't need any thing. might have been because my hair is thin and straight hers is thicker and a bit wavy.

So glad you said that ...the costume part reminded me- I can't tell my mom about this if I do it. She'll want to make me a princess costume or find an adult sized Snow White gown at a Halloween shop. :lol:

I really appreciated your idea b/c the pedi at the spa might be something (if they let me) where I can truly involve both girls. While DD4 had a blast doing BBB back in Dec, DD2- even with all of her princess gear and pixie dust (i.e. cake glitter) was a total mess w/being left out ...and I felt pretty bad. And I totally get what you mean w/BBB having a more toned down option for adults. I have friends who have expressed interest in such a thing, but I tend to be a bit...well, crazy eccentric over the top at times. I'd probably be begging for more pixie dust! :lol:

Thanks! I'm really thinking about booking tomorrow. I figure I have to call anyway since I need to switch out a breakfast ressie at The Wave for Kona (the lure of Tonga Toast :slurp- so why not book BBB as well! :wave:

And that's part of why I want to do stuff like this with the kids now. They may still love this stuff in their teens or they may be mortified by the whole idea of it...well, until they grow up to be my age!

It sounds like it was big fun and totally making me think we should do this! Hmmmm- plus I'd have to decide on hair style! The funky color thing would let me live out my dream of having crazy colored hair extensions! Of course I can't wear them to the office, but BBB might be a GREAT way to accomplish this - even if only for a day.

I am planning on getting one of these on my next trip, for my 25th wedding anniversary.

The description is a bit brief. When DD4 did it in Dec she did the middle priced pkg...which included hair style + glitter, tiara comb, sash, nails, makeup, jeweled accent for her face + she got to keep her makeup, the comb they supplied, two bottles of nail polish, plus they threw in a little trinket and some stickers.

I haven't done the BBB yet but our last trip all of the men in our group did the Pirate league with my 6 year old nephew, our group was getting looks all day, but it was so much fun. My nephew still talks about the day when his family were all pirates. I say do it :sohappy:, it will be a great memory for your DD.

I did this with my daughter once. We only went for the hairstyle where they put in up in a bun with a princess crown. We then had pictures taken together. It was quite fun and would do it again. My daughter wore a dress (not a costume) and I wore a nice shirt. The CM at BBB didn't seem too surprised an adult was having it done.
