I've booked a room at the Beach Club for my family (the "kids" are 19 and 21) is the BC overrun with children?(not that WDW wouldn't be overrun just that particular hotel) Or would the Yacht Club be a better choice? We are going in the heat of August (I'm a nut!) Anyone have any experience with these choices? The last stay at the Contemporary was in May (the BEST time to go!!) I know Stormalong Bay will be a nut house but the other pool is what we'd use anyway.

Well, I can't speak to the number of children/families with kids at the Beach Club. But I can say that while staying at the Yacht Club, I didn't notice a huge number. We were there for a week at Thanksgiving a few years ago. There were families and kids but I didn't see it as being "over-run".

Are you asking because of the pool usage? I will say the pool was a very very busy place since the Beach and Yacht Club are sister resorts and can share the pool. So it was a very busy place! But it is also one of the nicest pools at WDW.

The Yacht and Beach Club are both excellent hotels, other than the pool i wouldnt be worried about too many children flying around! I think the Yacht club might have slightly less younger children and families just because the beach club now has DVC! But to be fair last time we visited them even the pool didnt have that many kids in them! With the pool aim for hitting it later in the day its less crowded then, it is a totally amazing pool, we stayed at the yacht club once and i would go back just for the pool lol

No more than any other deluxe resorts. My wife and I have stayed at the beach quite a few times when we've gone to WDW without the kids, primarily for its proximity to Epcot and MGM. I think themamountmofmkids depends more on when you go than what deluxe you're staying at. August shouldn't be bad, have fun.

I was there last August. I didn't feel that there were a lot of kids. In fact, my son, who's ten, really had some difficulty finding kids to actually play in the pool with. You should be fine!
