Adult pool float allowed in quiet pools ?

I wouldn't class an adult on chair style float as loud or disruptive of peace but i wanted to ensure what the rules were. I always respect report and hotel rules. But I have actually been at quiet or leisure pools where true opposite has occurred i.e. Non resort Pool volleyball, and Olympic type lap swimming but only at mods and values. Maybe deluxe or DVD is different ....

The quiet pools at the deluxe resorts I've stayed at have people lounging, drinking, swimming, laughing, napping. No different than any other non Disney resort pool imo.

I dont know anyone that would want to nap out in that Florida heat, lol.

I haven't, but friends of mine have early AM, back when we were younger-20s. .
And, My kid took a power nap at the pool during our last trip. lol.

More tranquil doesn't mean noise free. It means less crazy. Not quiet as the grave.
Who said quiet as a grave? Tranquil means peaceful, free from disturbance, and calm. Disney defines them as sch in their own words on their site. I hope those who use the pools keep that in mind.
I've spent a lot of time over the years drinking and lounging at the 'quiet pools'. I've always viewed them as less kids, bc of lack of slides, and Sam's pool games, so they're obviously not as loud on that front, but never felt we were supposed to actually be "quiet".
Read above.
If you yell at the pools then I suggest you go elsewhere. Otherwise not sure what you are getting at. You aren't tye only one who spends times at the pools. I know what to expect and enjoy the quiet those pools have to offer.

The quiet, or leisure pools, should have some decorum, especially at the Deluxe level. Screaming or yelling, water volleyball, and loud music can be found at the main, feature pools.

I have no idea what this means.lol. Not even being funny.. I honestly don't know.
Tranquil in Disney's description translates to -
There won't be a CM with a microphone.
There won't be kids screaming down a slide.
Location of the pool is set away from high traffic areas.

That's what I've always thought anyway.

I go by what a word means, not what I think the company thinks it could mean. That's all. My words were straight from a dictionary to define the word tranquil that Disney used to describe a leisure pool. Not making it more difficult than it should be. If you want to play and be loud, you should go elsewhere IMO

So my planned activity of megaphone marco polo for the kids would be frowned upon at the quiet pool?

Ha ha. I guess that's kind of what I'm saying.. that behavior isn't acceptable anywhere. I don't think people have to conduct themselves differently at a "tranquil" pool or a main pool. The missing elements of pool games/slides in the 'tranquil' pools will already eliminate the majority of the noise.

ETA- GF's "tranquil pool" has a foosball table, ping pong table, and the on the ground big chess board.. so I don't think they're discouraging people from "playing around", or expecting them to be quiet.

BCVs has pool as well. You still don't have to be loud there when playing. Regular volume is still quiet. No one expects you to not talk or even cough. It's about respecting those around you

OK so there was the disconnect. Being respectful is just what I call appropriate behavior wherever you are. But I've never looked at those pools at Disney as anything different..
I don't care if it's a Disney deluxe resort, or an actual five-star resort, a pool is a pool.

We always hung out at the pools that didn't have a slide because there was less kids, and no cast members armed with a microphone. Lol

Unless you're in a spa, then yeah act a little differently..lol.
Well I don't think you should go into a leisure pool and scream and play loudly and such. They are meant to be more relaxing and less chaotic. So if you plan to go in playing loudly I think you're in the wrong place. So keep the screaming and squealing and loud playing to the main pools where it's meant to be chaotic. So to me the idea of those pools are different than the main pools and Disney describes them as such. Looking at a lot of the leisure pools a vat majority uses the word "tranquil" and I think it's there for a reason.

To me being respectful means you realize that pool is not meant for loud play and such. That if you want that, you should go elsewhere. To not do so IMO is being disrespectful. I enjoy the leisure pools for the more quiet atmosphere. Sadly my offspring prefer the main pools so I just try to read as well as I can with all the distractions. Some main pools are better than others though.

I'm OK with some squealing and loud laughter.. I think I like the leisure pools for the same reason you do.. there's typically less kids, no slides, and no shrieking cm's... that's tranquil to me.
But, I'm stuck at the pool's with slides more often than not now as well. I guess I've been lucky that I haven't seen any truly obnoxious behavior (outside of saving chairs)...or maybe I just never noticed if there was any. That's a possibility too.lol

Sometimes I wonder if people plan the wrong vacations for themselves.

I wonder how an adults only resort would go over at WDW. It always seems like there are enough people on these boards who would love to escape from kids but still enjoy WDW.

I think we are on the same page. I have enjoyed many hours reading by a pool quietly. A little chatter here or laugh and such but really wasn't noticeable for the most part. Nice quiet lounging in the hot tub... great! That's peaceful to me not to have to hear the party and kids playing. Granted I'm a mom so it goes away but that's okay. I still like doing it at night after some are in bed :)

We've done adults only trips enough and I don't feel the need for an adults only location honestly. There are enough quiet spots if you want it and enough places where you don't find kids. But I don't go to WDW to completely avoid kids ever.

If they had a resort though we'd check it out in about 9 years ;)
