ADR System still being upgraded???

I just wanted to give a head's up:

I called this morning at my 90 day mark to make my ressies. I was told by the CM that they are still not taking ressies past March 22...even though it was announced that you can now book 90 days in advance. I knew what she was telling me was incorrect and asked her to double check. After huffing (not kidding) she kept me on hold a few minutes then came back. She told me her manager told her the same thing...they are not taking ressies past March 22.

Now, being a good Disney girl I called back and got another CM...who was more than happy to make all my ressies. I informed her of what had happened and she really apologized. Said she will inform her manager that misinformation is being given out.

So, wanted to let everyone know that some CM are not aware of exactly how reservations are being done. Insist on talking to someone else....if that doesn't work, call back.

BTW....all my places including LeCellier were wide open. Perhaps due to ressies not being allowed on many phone calls?

I called yesterday for to make reservations for my May 1-9 trip and was told to try again on Jan 22nd....still upgrading the system...please tell me everyone else is in the same situation? If I call on 1/22 and am told everything is already booked I may jump off a bridge.:brick:

I feel your pain!! This whole thing is so frustrating! :hammer:I called yesterday and the cm would not even give me a date that it was expected for it to come up. She said that they are booking 90 days out and that is all they are told. I reviewed the past dates and things we have been told with her and she said that she knew and understood the frustration but that no date is given now. I explained how upset I would be if I made the reservation for our trip 180 days ahead just to ensure that I got the ADR's I wanted and then if I missed the date they got the system up, and didn't get get them, it would be so upsetting. She said that she thought that through her yeas at Disney, she thinks that to be fair, Disney would only allow for 90 day out ADR's - even when the system goes up. We'll see! At this rate - I have to wait to March 1 before I can make an ADR - or the system coming up - which ever comes first. I'm betting on March! :p

I tired to call on Dec 22 to book reservations for Mar 22 and was told to call back after January 1. Opps, I guess I need to call?

I just got off the phone with Disney Dining and reservations have been released up through April 4.

That is because today is Jan. 4, and ADR's are currently being accepted at the 90 day mark. So tomorrow they can be made through April 5, etc.

As of now, the 90 day window is a permanent change!! This was announced on Dec. 23. I spoke to a nice CM at the WL concierge a couple of days later, and he said that Disney felt that many people didn't finalize their plans till closer to their trips, so they changed the window from 180 days to 90 days. The real reason is likely that the new software can't support the 180 day window yet, or the CM's aren't trained on it yet, or a combination of both. So for those of you with trips in the Spring (like me) calculate 90 days out from your arrival and that is the day you can make your ADR's. :)

Done with reservations!!!

I am proud (and relieved) to say I just got off the phone with Disney and was able to make ALL of my reservations for April 4-11 today! We will be eating: Ohana, Coral Reef, Yak & Yeti, Le Cellier, San Angel Inn, Sci-Fi Dine In, Tony's Town Square, and Chef Mickey's (breakfast). Today was my 90 day mark and I've been waiting since my 180 day mark! I had almost no problems getting reservations exactly when I wanted them. The only problem I encountered was that they apparently haven't updated the reservation system to the EMH and even the CM on the phone was surprised at that. The latest res. they had for Yak & Yeti was 4:45 although they will be open til about 9 that night? She said it shouldn't be llike that but oh well. We'll just eat first. My 6yo son & I will be travelling with my best friend (fellow Disney fanatic) and she will be celebrating her 21 birthday on our first night there (Ohana). The CM on the phone was happy to make a note (where I didn't think she would) so the restaurant would know. She did however say that Coral Reef and Tony's are no longer taking special seating requests. But that's ok. It's all about the experince anyway. Main point is: I got all reservations within 20 min either way (except Yak & Yeti) or right on the nose with no problems (and I didn't get through til 9:00)! Very pleased and the CM (Michelle) was extremely helpful! Another great Disney trip is on it's way (in 90 days)! :sohappy:

There are probably alot of people that book 6 months out and then never use the reservations. Also, alot of peoples dates or park plans change and we are all overloading Disney with unnecessary phone calls for changes. 90 days is more than enough time for all. If you disagree, you need to find a hobby instead of getting bent out of shape over something so small.
As for all the other cutback complaints, IT'S A BUSINESS. Disney is NOT in the business of losing money. Yes I love to stay at the parks late into the night like everyone else, but with bookings at less than 40% there will be no one in the parks.
