ADR Question/Advise

We are finally heading back to the world (243 days)!!! With all the new rules and deposited required with all ADR's I am not sure the best way to handle my needs. My DD and her boyfriend are both CM and will be joining us for some meals but at this point I have no clue when or how many. When its time to make my ADR's should I make them for 4 incase they are able to join us or should I make them for 2 and show up with 4 when they are able to join us. I want to do the right thing here but not sure what it is. If I make for 4 and 2 show up will I be charged for the 2 no shows?? Thanks for all input!!

It isn't exactly a "deposit" they just hold your reservation with your card and only charge it if you don't show up.
It really is up to the restaurant on whether they charge you for the other members of your party not showing up. I have had reservations for 3 and only showed up with 2 and never was questioned about it. But I would use the next 63 days to see if your daughter can give you a final yes or no on at least a few reservations.

Thanks for your input!!! With them being CM they will not know schedules until a week or so out from our arrival that is why I am trying to make the correct choice of making ADR's for 4 or 2 now.

I would go ahead and make them for 4. When they do find out their schedules, you'll still have time to modify the reservation. There is a 24 hour cancellation policy, so if you can call sometime before then that they can't make it, you should be ok!

It's easier to take ppl off then to out ppl on…my grandfather has a house and hour away from parks. When I know he's going to be in Florida and I'm eating at resort I always add him in in case we want to meet up, I cancel him out later if needed.

We had this issue last trip. We found out a week before some family friends were going the same time but hadn't made any ADRs. When we tried to include them on ours, it was really hit/miss when they could be added. Make the reservations for 4 and save yourself the headache.

Make the ADR for 4. I have arrived with less people than my ADR many times and I have never been charged.

And of course, once you know that they can't attend some of the meals you have reserved, please call and let Disney know.
