Hi folks!

Just want to hear opinions on our ADR's for August, specifically if you think times are right for fireworks etc..

Mon:- San Angel Inn 7pm
Tues:- Sci-fi dine-in theater 6pm
Wed:- House of Blues, DTD 8pm
Thurs:- Tonys Town Square 8pm
Fri:- Jiko, AKL 8pm
Sat:-
Sun:- Rainforest Cafe, AK 8pm
Mon:- Boma, AKL 6pm
Tues:-
Wed:- California Grill 9pm
Thurs:-
Fri:-
Sat:- Coral Reef Restaurant 12pm (to be booked)
Le Cellier 7pm (to be booked)

As a note, this is our honeymoon, hence why we have made so many ADR's. Staying at AKL so we had to try out Jiko and Boma! The days we have left blank will probably be times we go to a counter service or something else.

We've done Boma, Tony's and the California Grill and enjoyed them all. The fireworks from the top of the Contemporary is a must-do at least once for everyone IMO. Congratulations on your upcoming honeymoon!!

Mon:- San Angel Inn 7pm Never been here but timing could be perfect
Tues:- Sci-fi dine-in theater 6pm Double check the menu, we prefer lunch here than dinner
Wed:- House of Blues, DTD 8pm
Thurs:- Tonys Town Square 8pm Probably too late for parade, but you could score an outside table. We didn't find the food here to be anything great.
Fri:- Jiko, AKL 8pm
Sat:-
Sun:- Rainforest Cafe, AK 8pm Very loud, salads are great
Mon:- Boma, AKL 6pm If you like to try different things this is good, if the unknown scares you not an ideal place, but you can take form the kids side
Tues:-
Wed:- California Grill 9pm Again never been but timing should be perfect
Thurs:-
Fri:-
Sat:- Coral Reef Restaurant 12pm (to be booked) We had a great meal here on our honeymoon and plan to try it again in August too on 8/17
Le Cellier 7pm (to be booked) This is our absolute favorite place. The steaks are very yummy as are the soups. I have a hard time not filling up on the pretzel bread too.
Congratulations! Make sure to tell them when you make your reservations.

Generally looks fine. As another response said, be sure to tell them it is for your honeymoon when you make your ressies. I would strongly suggest you reconsider your Sunday dinner at Rainforest...there are much better Disney options.

In case you can't get Le Cellier, consider Yachtsman's Steakhouse

Coral Reef is OK for the ambiance, a more interesting seafood offering can be found at Flying Fish.

As Sci-Fi, check out the lunch menu before you go. If you ask, they will serve lunch items during dinner.

Consider at dinner at Artist Point at Wilderness Lodge. Romantic, quiet and interesting food. Also may be more special for honeymooners (again, tell them when you are making the ressie) Maybe Sunday replacing Rainforest?

Consider Hoop-de-do-Review for one of your open evenings

Also be sure to get your honeymoon pins and wear them proudly throughout your visit!

Congratulations!

I love your choices! This is your honeymoon right? No character meals at all? I would choose at least one with Mickey! The pix will be a cute memory! I love the food at LeCellier! Don't expect too much from Sci-Fi and you will be fine! Have Fun!!!

Thanks everyone,

The Rainforest Cafe is not my ideal choice either, but wife-to-be really wanted to try it last time we went, but got ill. So its a must this time. The Sci-fi was purely chosen for the novelty factor, I will make sure to check out the lunch menu.

Character-wise, is it true that the Garden Grill is character? Even if its not we are considering it.

I have only just realised there is a parade in the evening at MK when we are there, it's never been on during our previous trips - so thanks for the spot coltow!!

We did alot of character meals on our honeymoon, it did make it extra fun for us. We did Chef Mickey's, Garden Grill, Liberty Tree Tavern, and Artist Point used to have a Pooh breakfast.

Nice list of restaurants. You guys are hitting up all my favorites. :slurp:

Switching Coral Reef to Garden Grill was a good move too. Garden Grill is my favorite character meal in Disney! Lots of time with the critters, good food, relaxing atmosphere, and friendly CMs.

Be sure to pick up "Just Married" pins at Guest Relations to wear everyday. Cast Members will probably do little special things here and there for you guys to make your trip even more MAGICAL!

I love the Garden Grill! Great choice! The rotating restaurant can make it hard to find the washrooms and successfully return though... Just a word to the wise from experience :o

If you are set on Rainforest, consider the one at DTD. You will have better transportation options (if you don't have your own car).

Garden Grill is a nice character meal. As the layout is basically a single row with tables on the two sides, everyone gets uniform visits with a lot less running around by diners. Closest thing to a private audience you will get.

Sci-Fi is fun and really clever ambiance....as long as your food expectations aren't too high you will enjoy it.
